Meet Comet, a lovable Australian Shepherd/Pointer puppy with a heart as big as his spirit! At just a young age, Comet has been diagnosed with megaesophagus, but that certainly doesn’t slow him down. Megaesophagus requires some special feeding techniques, but Comet doesn’t mind—it’s just part of what makes him unique! This sweet boy is looking for a family who is patient, dedicated, and ready to embrace him for the special pup he is. If you’re ready to offer Comet the love, care, and commitment he needs, he’s sure to reward you with endless affection, joy, and loyalty. Could you be the family he’s been waiting for? Story
Billie is an adorable young mix, thought to be a Pointer/Aussie/Lab mix. She’s about 44 lbs, a bit on the lean side currently. And estimated at 4 years old. Billie joined us from a very horrible neglectful situation. She along with eight other dogs was rescued from a trailer, after the owner of the trailer was taken to a mental health facility. All dogs were starved; two were starved to death. Billie was one of the survivors, but barely so. She was skin and bones when joining our rescue program….and a look of hopelessness filled her eyes. During the last several weeks that Billie has been in her BAARK foster home, she has made notable progress, gaining weight, looking better, feeling more confident, and showing us some pep in her step! She’s even starting to play with other dogs. An ideal home and family for Billie is one who can understand her past and give her the time and space she needs to continue to build her confidence, and blossom into a loving, playful girl that she deserves to be. Good nutrition is very important given her past. Billie obviously is good with other dogs but the preferred home for Billie would be as an only dog, or with another calm friendly dog. She’d love a secure fenced yard where she could run, play, and exercise. She is scared of quick movements at this time, so smaller children would likely be overwhelming to her; older children should be fine. If you would like to consider Billie for a member of your family, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895. Note that BAARK is located in the NW Suburbs of Chicago and adopts local to our area.

Story
Meet Copenhagen! This sweet 5-month-old Heeler/Lab mix is named after the charming city known for its warmth and personality — and he has plenty of that to share! While he may be a bit shy, Copenhagen’s playful and affectionate nature really shines through if you give it time to warm up. He’s already potty trained, sleeps soundly in his crate, and is food-motivated, which makes him a quick learner. He’s even starting to master `sit`! As a puppy, he’ll need ongoing training, but his eagerness to please will make the process enjoyable for both of you. Copenhagen can be a little vocal, but that’s just his way of expressing his joy and enthusiasm. His striking blue and brown eyes will captivate you, and his adorable smile will melt your heart every time. He’s also dog-friendly and enjoys playing `chase me` with other pups. If you’re looking for a playful, loving, and intelligent companion who’s ready to grow and learn with you, Copenhagen might be the perfect fit for your family!Interested in adopting this dog? Story
Moab is a 4.5-month-old American Blue Heeler pup with a heart as vast and warm as the red rock landscapes of picturesque Arches National Park in Moab, Utah. His thick, soft cream-colored coat is dusted with freckles of light brown, just like the sun-kissed sandstone cliffs. His ears, the color of desert canyons at dusk, perk up with curiosity, while his dark brown eyes—framed by delicate cream-colored eyelashes—hold a sweetness that melts hearts.Moab is a social, affectionate pup who thrives on companionship. He adores children, loves to be held, and prefers to stay close to his people, always ready to trot by your side like a faithful trail companion. His tail wags non-stop when he sees his family, bringing a little piece of joy to every moment. Though sweet-natured and outgoing, he can be a bit timid in new situations. With patient guidance and positive reinforcement, he’s learning to navigate the world with confidence.Like any young adventurer, Moab is eager to be part of the pack. He takes cues from his canine companions with grace, learning the ways of the dog world with ease. Smart and active, he needs both mental and physical enrichment to keep his sharp little mind and energetic body engaged. Impressively, Moab potty trained almost immediately and sleeps soundly through the night in his kennel, without a peep.Moab has never met a person he didn’t like, greeting everyone with his gentle spirit and wagging tail. He’s a pup with so much love to give—one who just needs a steady and understanding hand to help him bloom into the confident, adventurous soul he’s meant to be. Just like the breathtaking landscapes of Moab, Utah, he’s a treasure waiting to be discovered.Interested in adopting this dog? Story
Meet Ryder, a 2.5-year-old Pointer mix who`s basically a furry bodybuilder in a dog suit! This big guy is all about those long walks, power naps, and flexing his muscles in a totally nonchalant way (because, let`s face it, he`s that cool). Ryder’s looking for a big, strong human who can keep up with his energy and enthusiasm. While he loves being the center of attention, he’d prefer to be your one and only—no other dogs, please. He’s got enough personality for the whole household, and he’s ready to be your loyal sidekick. So, if you’re ready for a buddy who’s as strong as he is affectionate, Ryder’s your guy! He promises to bring the fun, the laughs, and maybe even a few doggy squats.THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN SAVING A LIFE!Volunteers and staff are excited to assist you in the adoption process!
