Story
Hi, I’m Lily! I’m a young pointer mix who is 48 lbs. I am still energetic but also affectionate with so much love to give. I recently made a life-saving journey from a Texas kill shelter to my foster family in Illinois, and I couldn’t be more grateful for this second chance after being dumped at 1 by my family in Texas for being too big. Despite my tough start, I’m full of resilience, charm, and excitement to meet my forever family. So far, I haven’t met many strangers outside of my foster family, but when I arrived, I was instantly curious and excited to introduce myself. My foster family includes an adult male, two adult females, a 4-year-old boy, and a 3-year-old girl. I get along with everyone, including the little ones who love to shower me with pets and scratches—as long as they’re gentle with me. I also share my home with two dog foster siblings—an older, bigger male dog and a younger, smaller female one. I love roughhousing and wrestling with both of them, but I need my family to help regulating my energy so playtime doesn’t get too rowdy. I enjoy chewing on toys and bones, but I like having my own space during chew time because I can get a little possessive because I’m still learning I will always have food. Sometimes, I do get jealous when I see my foster siblings getting attention, but a little reassurance is all I need to remember there’s plenty of love to go around. I need my family to understand I sometimes need to go slow until I fully know I am safe and loved. When I hear or see other dogs outside, I can’t help but bark and become intrigued. With a quick reminder that everything is ok, I’m back to minding my own business. Meeting new dog friends on a walk is the best way for me to slowly get to know them. Affection is my love language! I’m a total cuddlebug who loves giving hugs, resting my head on your lap or chest, sharing kisses, and snuggling up whenever I can. There’s no limit to the amount of love and cuddles I’m ready to share, so don’t hold back—I’ll return the favor. I can also relax on my own if you’re busy by napping nearby while you watch TV or work. But if you move, I’ll follow you everywhere like your shadow to keep you company. I need an active family to help me with daily exercise. A fenced yard would be amazing for running around and getting my zoomies out, and daily walks (or even runs) are a must for me! I’m still learning leash manners and sometimes pull because I’m so excited to explore. With patience and a few breaks to settle down, I know I’ll get the hang of it. I’d love to go on adventures in the car, play fetch in the yard, or just explore the world by your side. I’m working on basic commands like “sit,” “drop it,” and “off,” and I respond really well to treats, which makes training more fun for both of us. I’m a smart and eager learner, so with consistent guidance, I know I’ll keep making progress. I’m also working on being fully house-trained. I still have occasional accidents in my crate if left for a long time - I sometimes get scared no one is coming back. With consistent eating and potty schedule, I will improve every day. Positive reinforcement, like treats and praise for going potty outside, builds my confidence and keeps me motivated. I currently eat twice a day—in the morning and at night—in my crate to separate me from others. I also use my crate when no one is home and at bedtime (with a bed inside), and while it’s not my favorite place by any means (I sometimes complain for a few minutes but settle down), a treat or toy to distract me before going in helps me settle down. I’d thrive in a family that is home often and maybe another dog. I need someone who’s willing to invest time and patience I deserve in my ongoing training and learning. In return, I’ll fill your life with unconditional love, joy, and endless cuddles. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion to share your adventures and brighten your days, I just might be the perfect match! Apply to meet me today! Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A DREAM LIKE ME! No, I am not one of Santa’s reindeer, but I can imitate a meerkat pretty darn well! I know all sorts of tricks—I can give you each of my paws to shake your hand because I’m a gentleman! I can also sit like a meerkat and high-five you when you do a good job and I approve! I am a stout guy, about 60 lbs. They say I’m a Pointer mix; I say I’m one hundred percent handsome and stuff like that. Everyone I meet is my friend, and I would love to add you to that list and call you my family. I’m potty trained—no accidents. I love kids and adults. I have energy, so please understand that when picking me! I love to walk, and I’m so good on a leash I could win awards. I love food and am definitely a great taste tester for you. Cats don’t bother me—we can coexist and be zen. I’m about a year old, so I have plenty of time to spend with the right family. I am up to date on all my shots and will be neutered soon. If you have another four-legged friend for me to play with, that would make my year! Make an appointment to meet me today because I won’t last long. I'm waiting for my forever family in Naperville, IL! ##2277935##

Story
Click here for Ned's Facebook Album 12-14-2024: Please meet sweet, adorable Ned!! He is an owner surrender twice and we are on a quest to find him the best adoptive home. He is so charming, friendly and thankfully confident, not having suffered any abuse- just a little vetting neglect. Ned is about 18 months old and is already neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. We still need to do our obligatory blood work and get him microchipped. Ned is only 40lbs but he will need some basic obedience training as he is wired to pull a sled on a walk. We haven't tested his nose for birds, but hopefully soon. He was working on house training before he came to us. He is brilliant about jumping into a cage in a car which is helpful. What a magnificent little Pointer. Story
Meet Copenhagen! This sweet 5-month-old Heeler/Lab mix is named after the charming city known for its warmth and personality — and he has plenty of that to share! While he may be a bit shy, Copenhagen’s playful and affectionate nature really shines through if you give it time to warm up. He’s already potty trained, sleeps soundly in his crate, and is food-motivated, which makes him a quick learner. He’s even starting to master `sit`! As a puppy, he’ll need ongoing training, but his eagerness to please will make the process enjoyable for both of you. Copenhagen can be a little vocal, but that’s just his way of expressing his joy and enthusiasm. His striking blue and brown eyes will captivate you, and his adorable smile will melt your heart every time. He’s also dog-friendly and enjoys playing `chase me` with other pups. If you’re looking for a playful, loving, and intelligent companion who’s ready to grow and learn with you, Copenhagen might be the perfect fit for your family!Interested in adopting this dog? Story
Moab is a 4.5-month-old American Blue Heeler pup with a heart as vast and warm as the red rock landscapes of picturesque Arches National Park in Moab, Utah. His thick, soft cream-colored coat is dusted with freckles of light brown, just like the sun-kissed sandstone cliffs. His ears, the color of desert canyons at dusk, perk up with curiosity, while his dark brown eyes—framed by delicate cream-colored eyelashes—hold a sweetness that melts hearts.Moab is a social, affectionate pup who thrives on companionship. He adores children, loves to be held, and prefers to stay close to his people, always ready to trot by your side like a faithful trail companion. His tail wags non-stop when he sees his family, bringing a little piece of joy to every moment. Though sweet-natured and outgoing, he can be a bit timid in new situations. With patient guidance and positive reinforcement, he’s learning to navigate the world with confidence.Like any young adventurer, Moab is eager to be part of the pack. He takes cues from his canine companions with grace, learning the ways of the dog world with ease. Smart and active, he needs both mental and physical enrichment to keep his sharp little mind and energetic body engaged. Impressively, Moab potty trained almost immediately and sleeps soundly through the night in his kennel, without a peep.Moab has never met a person he didn’t like, greeting everyone with his gentle spirit and wagging tail. He’s a pup with so much love to give—one who just needs a steady and understanding hand to help him bloom into the confident, adventurous soul he’s meant to be. Just like the breathtaking landscapes of Moab, Utah, he’s a treasure waiting to be discovered.Interested in adopting this dog?
