Poppy was found abandoned at a gas station was and transferred to our rescue due to her imminent delivery. Poppy delivered puppies on Jun 27th. She has now weaned her babies and is ready to find her own home. Poppy is house broken and walk well on a leash and harness. She tolerates other dogs, but is a little possessive of her person. She sleeps in a bed on the floor of her foster's bedroom. Poppy HATES to be confined! She can climb a baby gate and will tear it apart if needed. Poppy is a people dog! She loves to follow her foster mom wherever she goes in a tight heel position. Poppy is on the smaller side of medium build. She would love a family where she can have a yard to play in and her own family to love!

This precious pup is Skippy! He arrived as a lost boy at the shelter on 10/25, and no one has come to reclaim him. Skippy is all puppy and he'll need someone who has the time, patience, and energy to keep up with him! Puppies are super cute, but they're also a lot of work! The volunteers adore this little guy, and they describe him as super loving and playful. He is calm in his kennel, but he LOVES to play with toys (especially stuffed animals) when he's taken out to play. Skippy does know how to sit nicely when asked. Skippy is approximately 7 months old, and he weighs 37 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he will be neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Please come meet Skippy in run 330; his ID # is 662847. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. BARC welcomes VIGIL to rescue! This 6 month old lab/pointer has to be the sweetest and most humble puppy I've met in a very long time. He is a little afraid of larger dogs but if they are friendly he fits right in. He was abandoned in a downtown area for several days. I guess he was waiting on rescue to come. I am so glad we got him as he is quite deserving of a loving home. He would make the perfect family pet. He would do well with other pets and children. I suspect he will get to be around 50 pounds. As always, he is up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. He qualifies for disabled veteran, senior and first responder discount. Petey was abandoned and found his way to a rescue volunteer’s home. Petey should be called “Lucky Petey” for managing that! This sweet ball of love is on an on the job watch dog. He has a high prey drive so not so good with chickens and such. He LOVES his people to pieces though and works hard to please them. He is leash and house trained and super smart. He does well with children as well. He would be a great only pet or an awesome family pet. You would be safe with PETE! Pete is neutered, UTD in shots, microchipped and in great health.
