This adorable boy is Pongo. He is a 6 month old Pointer mix who weighs about 15 lbs. He is a very fun pup who gets along with everyone he meets. We recently took him on an excursion where he met cows, pigs, sheep and goats and he loved them all. He does great riding in the car and did a good job of following commands. Pongo can be cat tested upon request. He will make a wonderful family dog and is patiently waiting for his family to find him. If you'd like to meet Pongo, apply today! Scarlet was being held at a local shelter but was on their kill list. AALOC could not allow this absolutely adorable female pointer mix to be euthanized so a team member picked her up, saving her life. A foster parent was found and now Scarlet is looking for a forever home with a family that will cherish her as much as she deserves. Scarlet can be shy with new people but she warms up quickly. She’s a very young dog – still a puppy – and has plenty of energy and enthusiasm. Her foster parent says she is incredibly cuddly, and we know Scarlet is good with small dogs because she lives with dogs under 25 pounds at her current foster home. Please complete an application to adopt Scarlet at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved, we will contact you to make an appointment to meet Scarlet and get to know her a bit. Adoption donation of $165 per dog includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. Boston was left at the Shelter as a young puppy and contracted Parvo and was on the euthanasia list. One of the staff members contacted The Fix Parvo ICU to save his life. We answered the call and welcomed in our program. He made a seedy recovery and is Parvo Free and will live long happy life. This is a sad but serious problem with our society. Our kennel attendants and volunteers love him. We do our best to socialize him and give him playtime. Boston dreams of a yard, children, toys, Netflix - all the things every puppy deserves. He is very active, great with other dogs and people. He gets very excited around everyone. He is a hound mix, lab and mutt mutt, soft coat and about 40 pounds
