Story
Hiyaaaaa. I'm Jackie and here is some info about me:Breed: Pointer/Terrier MixAge:  3-1/2 yrsGender: FemaleWeight: 17 kgHeight: tbdCountry of origin: LebanonHighlights: Affectionate, playful, cuddly, Independent Playful and cute, double score. Oh wait... I'm also cuddly, trifecta!Found alongside my three puppies, we were left to fend for ourselves in a remote village in Lebanon, a place rarely visited by the public. Our luck turned when a compassionate woman, happening upon us by chance and heard our cries for help. How amazing is that? She immediately found us, and without hesitation, set out to rescue me and and my three female babies. This ensured our safety and well-being.My rescuers named me Jackie, and my puppies were affectionately named Gia, Pia, and Tia. The four of us are under our rescuers care. I now eagerly await a kind-hearted individual or family to welcome me into a warm, loving home. You'll see I am a quite affectionate girl, who will eagerly snuggle with you. While I do love being with my human, I also can be an independent girl, as Jacks are known for as well. So no need to worry if I am kept occupied all the time. Give me a toy to play with or birds to watch and I'm good for a while. Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##2158695##

Story
Hi future fam! My name is Junior and here's more about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Pointer mix Age: 6.5 months approx.  Gender: Male Weight: 33lbs (15 kg)  Current Location: Guadalajara Mexico RESCUE STORY - I was found on the streets of Guadalajara as a weeee puppy of only two months old. My foster hooman and recuer was out for a walk, sadly grieving the loss of one of her beloved pups when I darted into her path and right into her arms, hungry and afraid! I think I knew a good hooman when I saw one and I felt that she needed a little relief from her heartbreak. And that's exactly what she got! Despite being malnourished and with a few fleas along for the ride, I am a bundle of love and joy that can brighten up any household. You could even say that's my superpower! TEMPERAMENT - I loooove hugs and all affection from my two-legged buddies! I'm also a real goofball who often makes my foster laugh by getting myself into...um...predicaments such as getting stuck on surfaces that are a bit too high up for me (I'm still wee ya know!). Some of my favourite things in the world are TOMATOES, treats and cuddles! I would love to be a ray of sunshine in your life and  be a loving part of your family forever!  ENERGY LEVEL - Medium GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Yes! I have been tested with older kids as you can see here and here.  Dogs – I get along well with other pups and currently live with many other doggos at my foster's house! Cats – Yes! You can see more in my video PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – My rescuers say I am okay with my leash skills as you can see here, however I may need some additional patience and training :) House trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Crate trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Car rides – My rescuer says I am good with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES:  I am neutered and vaccinated. NOTE: dogs from Guadalajara are not microchipped. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD including tax (5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.  ##2204083##
