Can you open your heart to this beautiful soul, Loona needs a home or foster, with someone that just wants to love her. Loona is a very sweet girl that wants a home so badly! She does not do well in boarding. She loves people and other dogs. She needs a home with love and patience and will be a loyal companion. Loona's family lost their home. They wanted the best for her and not a life on the streets. Loona is a 3-year-old Feist and Plott hound mix (best guess!) and weighs 40 pounds. Her family described her as playful, cuddly, likes to go for walks, good with kids and babies. Loona would do well in a calm stable environment, maybe with one other dog. Ok with cats. Sweet Loona blossomed in her temporary foster home! Her former foster mom said that Loona is calm, loving, and has impeccable house manners. She is house trained, loves to snuggle, and sleeps through the night. She listens well, is eager to please and rarely barks. A dog buddy with a similar energy level (medium) and a fenced yard would be ideal! Loona loves to take walks, tennis balls, rope toys, and kongs. She needs some work on a leash and in a kennel. She didn’t exhibit any food or toy aggression. Loona has beautiful coloring and a short, carefree coat. Loona up to date on vaccines, spayed, micro chipped, health check, and is in NW Washington, transport is provided within the Pacific northwest to an approved foster or adoptive home. Meet Ben, a 6-year-old male Plot Hound/Pitbull mix.The staff at YHS think Ben should actually be labeled as a Tiger and have the name Tigger. This bouncy boy has the lovingly innocent personality of the famous story book character as well as the stripes to match. Ben is so charming with his happy-go-lucky style that he is going to bounce right into any adopters heart. Ben is medium sized at 50 pounds and came to us with a cherry eye that we were happy to take care of. Ben is now looking and feeling much better. He loves to play outside with other dogs and would enjoy a doggie play partner but would also be fine as an only dog. Ben has a lot of energy and would love someone who enjoys walking or jogging, however, if you had a good sized yard and didn’t mind him racing around it that would work as well. Ben is still working on his basic commands but he is eager to please and is just a silly good boy.If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? Have you ever read a novel that has so many twist and turns that by the time you get to the last chapter, you have NO idea who won and who is the REAL good guy?? Well, I believe my life is like that. I came from somewhere, no one really knows where, and I ended up at the pound, somehow.... So i was actually adopted as a cute puppy from the pound..... and THEN 5 months later... I was saved at a busy intersection with a badly injured back leg.... no "family" around :( SO, luckily I was saved by a RESCUER!!! I mean, what are the odds?? So my name is Artie and now I am healed up and looking for my furever REAL family. I am a great sized pup, 30# of fun and love and all kinds of playtime! I love to run and play, tug of war and keep away I excel at and the zoomies too! I am great with other dogs, and kids and am ok with cats but require a good introduction and experienced dog/cat introducer with monitoring as I may chase a kittie if it runs. So, I also have learned quite a few commands, sit, stay, crate, working on leave it. I am super smart AND MOTIVATED to help find my next best chapter. Welcome Zeus to CCPAL Foster Program. Zeus is a 18-month old 70 pound Plot Hound/Medium Terrier blend dog. He was abandonded by his owners when they moved and left him at the house they moved from. He was tied up to the porch. Good Samaritans spotted him and were feeding him and giving him water until they realized the owners weren’t coming back. Zeus is now in foster home waiting for his new forever home. He is great on a leash and not leash reactive. He is good in a crate and he likes car rides. He is attentive, smart and potty trained. He is overall a wonderful dog and is not food aggressive or reactive with his bowl. He would make a wonderful outdoor enthusiast a great companion. He would make a perfect man dog. He looks tough but he is not at all how he looks. He would make a great family dog if the man works out of the house. His looks would make the family feel secure even if he loves everyone. He is a lower shedding dog with a nice soft coat. He is healthy, vaccinated and neutered. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200.
