Story
Harper loves to be close! She is a one to two year-old plott hound/black mouth cur mix that weighs 63 pounds and arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 1/4 as a stray. She appeared to be timid in her kennel, but once she got out in the yard she came to life! .She was frisky and was attempting to entice me to play with her. She does fetch and retrieve balls. She sits for treats and takes them gently. She comes when you call her. She’s friendly, outgoing, active, and affectionate. She didn’t have a problem meeting other dogs. She walked OK on a leash. She would like to have a yard to stretch her legs in and to play in but would like to spend most of her time inside cuddling up with her new family.

Story
Meet Reese! She's a sweet happy girl with a lot of love to give. Reese is good with kids, cats, other dogs, and all people. She loves to play with her giant rope toy and lets out one big 'ruff!' when she needs to go out or is ready to come in. She loves a big dog bed or a nap on the couch. I met Reese on my first day volunteering at the animal shelter. She had been there an entire year sleeping on the cold concrete floor. (She was surrendered by someone who loved her.) Reese is a plot hound. I believe she went unadopted because she looks like a Rottweiler or pit bull. When we met four-year-old Reese, she was skinny and limping. Two years later, she's chubby and happy. When the weather is bad you can tell she hurts a bit, but it doesn't keep her from being happy. (She reminds me of me, lol.) She does have hip issues that are managed with periodic medication. It is heartbreaking that we find ourselves in a position to rehome her due to personal issues, but we are hopeful she will find the forever home she truly deserves. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Reese, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Theo is truly the best dog! He is currently 5.5 years old and weighs 73lbs last time I checked. He is a total attention seeker, and loves to have all of the love and affection someone can offer him. He is house and crate trained, with the occasional accident (hasn’t happened in a very long time). He is great with other dogs and children, as he is gentle and submissive. He loves going to the dog park and going for walks; he’s even great on car rides. He is still young at heart so with that comes a lot of energy and excitement when he meets new people. He’s a loving dog that deserves a loving home. **if adopted, I’d love to give you whatever food he has, dog bowls, food container & crate. (crate is slightly damaged but still works)

Story
We got Moose as a puppy from a family overwhelmed with his brothers and sisters. Moose was a part of a large litter of pups. Moose is 8 years old. He is calm, quiet and laid back. He can be apprehensive of new people, but warms up quickly. He is a shy guy. We are looking for a lazy family for Moose. He loves to lounge and is crate trained. He does enjoy walks in quiet areas with minimal hustle and bustle, but prefers to cuddle up on the couch or his dog bed. He has been in a family with 5 children for his entire life and is gentle with kids, but isn’t interested in playing tag or fetching balls. He would love to lay next to you want watch you play video games or nap. We hope there’s a family looking for a laid back guy to join their family.
