Story
Let it go, let it gooooooo ...Can't hold it back anymore ... Yes, my name is Elsa, just like that Elsa! I came into this world in February, right in the middle of a chilly San Antonio winter when the temps were plummeting, and life was tough for many. But fate smiled upon me, and a kind-hearted man and his family came to my rescue, sparing me from the freezing cold. I'll be honest; I'm a sensitive soul. Loud voices and sudden noises tend to rattle me, but let me tell you, once I've warmed up to you, I'm a different dog entirely. I'll shower you with kisses and share my whole heart. You see, I'm not just pretty on the outside; I'm smart and gentle, too. What I need most is a patient family willing to give me the time and space to settle into my new home. Trust me; I have so much love to give. In my foster home, they've discovered a side of me that shines when I play with their Big Great Pyrenees. We're like a couple of kids, playing hide and seek, and chasing each other around. I'm also a sunbather at heart, so outdoor lounging in the sun is a favorite pastime of mine. Now, here's the thing: I'm not a fan of long car rides, and I can get a little nervous. But if you speak to me gently and reassure me, I'll find my courage. Leash walks can be a bit tricky too, but with your patience and encouragement, I'm willing to give it a try. In the evenings, I like to cozy up in bed with my humans, though I don't demand it. I just love to be near the ones who care for me. I'm on the lookout for a forever home, a place where I'll be cherished and appreciated just as much as I have been in my foster family. If you're seeking a loyal companion who's ready to bloom with your love, look no further - I'm right here. Story
Have you ever read a novel that has so many twist and turns that by the time you get to the last chapter, you have NO idea who won and who is the REAL good guy?? Well, I believe my life is like that. I came from somewhere, no one really knows where, and I ended up at the pound, somehow.... So i was actually adopted as a cute puppy from the pound..... and THEN 5 months later... I was saved at a busy intersection with a badly injured back leg.... no "family" around :( SO, luckily I was saved by a RESCUER!!! I mean, what are the odds?? So my name is Artie and now I am healed up and looking for my furever REAL family. I am a great sized pup, 30# of fun and love and all kinds of playtime! I love to run and play, tug of war and keep away I excel at and the zoomies too! I am great with other dogs, and kids and am ok with cats but require a good introduction and experienced dog/cat introducer with monitoring as I may chase a kittie if it runs. So, I also have learned quite a few commands, sit, stay, crate, working on leave it. I am super smart AND MOTIVATED to help find my next best chapter. I will cuddle with you when I am tired and I love to be close to you. ADOPT ME SOON!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Hello there, sorry for the wait ... My name is Doc and I'm here to see YOU actually! Let's see now, you say you're experiencing the lack of a scruffy, fluffy, companion dog in your life? You need to get out and go on walks more? And you say here that you have a huge backyard but no one to play in it with? These symptoms lead me to believe you're suffering from INAD syndrome ... also known as "I need a dog!" disease. Well, I think I can prescribe you something that'll help reduce these symptoms and get you back on track to healthy living. If you'll just go ahead and sign here on my adoption papers, we can get started right now on your treatment actually. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Waylon is an absolute DREAM of a dog, really just the perfect boy! He does great with kids, does amazing in a home, is housebroken, crate trained, does great in a car, LOVES to be active and play and go on both runs and walks with his fosters, is super smart so easy to train, loves to snuggle and will calmly hang out with you while you work or watch TV, and is just the best boy! He seems really eager to be around other dogs so we don't see why he couldn't have dog buddies to play with! He is 100% joy and will be excited to see you every time you come home...and his fosters are working on trying to temper that pure joy that causes him to jump in happiness, but it always comes from a place of love and light! The struggles that Waylon has are purely medical but we have come to a plateau where with a great regimen of his medications, his diagnosis of Perennial Fistula Disease is easy to manage. And the nice thing is he takes his medications great! He does have to have an ointment on his rear, and does take some other oral meds, but he takes them very well. His condition also does require him to be on a very regimented diet that cannot be strayed from but Bonaparte's Retreat is more than happy to continue paying for his meds and his food because we definitely don't want that to be a deterrent for this perfect boy to find a home. He does require someone who can monitor his poops because they do need to be monitored, but he poops great on a walk which makes it easy to monitor! He also does need to be with a family that can strictly monitor his diet and not allow him to counter surf but he eats his special food great! We really can't speak more highly about Waylon and he would make some active family or single person an amazing BFFAugust 27, 2024, 11:44 am

Story
Bruce is a fabulous example of a forgiving and loving dog that was abandoned and found himself on the streets of a small town in Tennessee.  He had nowhere to go and some kind people took him in to hold him safely while Critter Cavalry Rescue takes time to find him the best home ever.   He is a Plott hound/Pit mix from what we can see in his markings and his stature.  He is 2 years old and 65 pounds and he is one special dog that is so handsome and is truly a gentle giant!  This boy has everything going for him with great house manners and housebroken as well.  He crate trained and is living in a foster home in an apartment.  He is a medium energy young man that gets along well with the other dog in his foster home.  He loves play time outside, as well as being a snuggly couch potato. Bruce is learning to walk on leash and will need daily practice to stop pulling. He loves to ride in a car, likes carrots and ice cubes. When at home he loves to look out the window and will do that for hours.  Recently he spent some time boarding and was a favorite with the staff and he demonstrated an ability to be very sweet and easy with some of the children of the staff members.  The only NO about Bruce is that he is not fond of cats, so no feline siblings.  He would probably do best with another gentle, playful dog of his same size.  He would be fine being the only dog and always center of attention, too!  Older children over 7 years of age might be best, but only because of his size.  If you are looking for a best friend and/or family member to run, hike, play, explore, and then curl up for some couch time, Bruce is your guy!  He is so beautiful and regal.  He looks around like he is surveying his kingdom and hoping that all is well.  You could really make his life a happy ending if you could consider adopting Bruce.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask all the questions that you need and also ask for an adoption form. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.November 3, 2024, 10:10 pm
