Story
Meet Mabel! This sweet 1.5 year-old, 38-pound girl is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly. She’s crate-trained, potty-trained, and adores chew toys—especially ones with squeakers to discover! Her gentle, loving nature makes her a wonderful cuddle buddy, though she’s still learning a few manners (like not jumping up), but she’s always soft and polite about it. This medium-sized sweetheart walks nicely on a leash with no pulling and would thrive with a bit more training. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion, she’s ready to fill your life with love! --- To apply to adopt, please follow the steps for adoption on HalfwayThereRescue.com/Adoption-Process and apply directly here: https://fs26.formsite.com/htrnp/a2k3lsooud/index.html

Story
We are looking to find a loving forever home for Red. Red spent a lot of time in shelters and was on a euthanasia list. He is very shy and likely has some trauma, but once he becomes comfortable around you he is very sweet, loving and playful. He is about a year old, 71 pounds, and mostly Plott Hound from what we can tell. He is neutered and microchipped and is up to date on all immunizations; he had a recent health checkup at our vet and is in perfect health. He loves other dogs and loves people once he warms up to them. He is house trained and crate trained, rides well in a car, not aggressive at all and does not bark or jump. We rescued him because he was in the shelter for so long, and he was so nervous and scared in that crate. We couldn’t stand to leave such a sweet boy to live like that. But he’s our third dog, and it’s just a bit too much for our small house/yard and our schedules, so we’re hoping to find a better fit for Red.

Story
Gloria is 5.5 years old, 50 lbs "Fantastic Fido: The Outdoorsy, Foodie, and Social Canine Sensation!" Woof woof! I'm an adventure-loving, farm-ready pup that's always on the move. My name? Well, let's just say I'm known as Gloria When it comes to the great outdoors, count me in! I'm a natural-born explorer, always sniffing out new scents, chasing butterflies, and investigating every nook and cranny . With my keen senses and hunting instincts, I'm always on the lookout for exciting things to discover and investigate. Who needs TV when you've got the great outdoors, right? Speaking of food, I'm a bit of a connoisseur. . I've got a discerning palate and a preference for home-cooked meals. Real chicken, beef, or fish? Now we're talking! There's nothing like a delicious, homemade feast to satisfy my hunger and keep me fueled for my adventures. But my foster mom now has me eating high quality dogfood as well, so I'm not as picky as I used to be. And let's talk treats! I'm not one to easily fall for just any treat. It's got to be the good stuff - real meaty goodness! Chicken, beef, or fish treats? Yes, please! I'll wag my tail and give you my best "puppy eyes" for those tasty morsels. One of my many talents is getting along famously with other dogs. I'm a social butterfly, always ready to make new furry friends and have a blast playing together. I've got great doggy manners and know how to play nice with others. After all, life's more fun when you've got a pack to run with! With my boundless energy and athleticism, I'm always up for some action. I love to run, jump, and play to my heart's content. Staying cooped up inside a house is just not my style. I need wide open spaces to stretch my legs and let my adventurous spirit soar. I've been known to give my paw-rents a run for their money when they try to keep me indoors - I'm just too full of life and excitement to sit still for long! But don't worry, I've got some good manners too. I know when it's time to do my business and I'm always cooperative when my paw-rents need to take me outside to pee. I've got a bladder of steel and can "hold it" like a champ! So, there you have it - the "Fantastic Fido"! I'm a fun loving, treat-demanding, adventure-seeking pup who's always ready for some outdoor fun. If you need a furry companion to join you on your outdoor adventures, look no further. I'm your girl! Woof woof!

Story
Marshall was rescued from horrific circumstances. We will not trouble you with those details. He is recovering now in his foster home, and displaying all of the personality traits of a dog who is meant to live with people, instead of outside in a cage. He is a hound mix, about 6 months old, weighs about 50 lbs. His foster family has lots of other dogs, and he gets along well with them. His adoption fee will cover all vet expenses: neuter, vaccines, microchip and heartworm test. He must stay on heartworm preventative all of his life.
