Story
Looking for a Loyal, Goofy Buddy? Meet Brody! Brody is a 7-year-old Plott Hound with the softest brindle coat, eyes that speak straight to your heart, and a personality as golden as they come. He’s got the perfect mix of play and snuggle: he’ll chase that ball like a pro, zoom around the yard with pure joy, then settle in for ear scratches and all the cozy cuddles on something soft. Brody’s got a goofy side too—he’ll keep you laughing with his playful antics and shower you with affection. Plus, he’s a total pro at house and crate training and has even mastered some fun tricks to keep you entertained! He’d love a family with older kids who’ll keep up with his daily walks and adventures. Brody’s not a fan of cats, but he’s all in for humans who’ll give him the love he deserves. Ready for your new hiking buddy and forever friend? Brody’s waiting to meet you!  Apply for consideration to adopt at www.rdrne.org. You must be at least 25 years of age, live within a 5-hour driving radius of Thompson PA. We check veterinary references and require all pets within the home to be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and maintained on heartworm and flea & tick preventatives. ##263104##

Story
Bruce is a fabulous example of a forgiving and loving dog that was abandoned and found himself on the streets of a small town in Tennessee.  He had nowhere to go and some kind people took him in to hold him safely while Critter Cavalry Rescue takes time to find him the best home ever.   He is a Plott hound/Pit mix from what we can see in his markings and his stature.  He is 2 years old and 65 pounds and he is one special dog that is so handsome and is truly a gentle giant!  This boy has everything going for him with great house manners and housebroken as well.  He crate trained and is living in a foster home in an apartment.  He is a medium energy young man that gets along well with the other dog in his foster home.  He loves play time outside, as well as being a snuggly couch potato. Bruce is learning to walk on leash and will need daily practice to stop pulling. He loves to ride in a car, likes carrots and ice cubes. When at home he loves to look out the window and will do that for hours.  Recently he spent some time boarding and was a favorite with the staff and he demonstrated an ability to be very sweet and easy with some of the children of the staff members.  The only NO about Bruce is that he is not fond of cats, so no feline siblings.  He would probably do best with another gentle, playful dog of his same size.  He would be fine being the only dog and always center of attention, too!  Older children over 7 years of age might be best, but only because of his size.  If you are looking for a best friend and/or family member to run, hike, play, explore, and then curl up for some couch time, Bruce is your guy!  He is so beautiful and regal.  He looks around like he is surveying his kingdom and hoping that all is well.  You could really make his life a happy ending if you could consider adopting Bruce.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask all the questions that you need and also ask for an adoption form. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 3, 2024, 10:10 pm

Story
Valeera came to us with her 3 babies and her baby Daddy. All of them have since found their own families and Valeera finds herself alone and still waiting. Valeera has a sweet and friendly disposition. She is a happy girl who loves to be with people. Valeera is a favorite of the shelter staff and volunteers who all adore her and enjoy spending time with her in the play yard or taking walks on our trail around the pond. Valeera is good with people and other dogs. We do not know what she thinks about cats. Valeera is about 2 years old and 50 pounds. Please help Valeera find the loving home she deserves. Update: Valeera had tested positive for Lyme & Anaplasmosis, two common tick borne disease and has already completed her course of oral antibiotic.
