Story
Meet the one and only, lovely Lilly. The 'lily' flower is the symbol of innocence, purity, and beauty. This perfectly describes this gorgeous girl that has lived the life of a free-flowing flower for three years: Lilly was found as a stray in North Carolina, she was briefly placed in a rescue there, and then flown to our rescue for us to find her FURever family for her. Her freedom and plane ride have earned her the rights to the song 'Ms. Independent,' and trust me she has the vocals to sing with Kelly Clarkson.Lilly wants you to know that she is brilliant. She has been busy mastering basic commands and like all of us, she is a work in progress. She is loyal, and once she knows she can trust you, you are IN. She is THE PREFERRED DOG at our rescue to take to events - what does that mean? That means she rides well in a car, she is patient with random events/dressing up, does well with new people, she is a DODEL (dog model), she LOVES strutting her stuff on the red/blue/green carpet (in fact, she does not care what color the carpet is so long as she is the center of attention), and that she shows VERY WELL. Besides strutting herself down the red carpet with poise and confidence, she loves the sound of her own voice. Are you looking for a companion to sing your favorite songs with you? If so, Lilly is YOUR girl.Lilly is active and would love her FURever family to be adventurous like she is. Lilly has a strong prey drive so she will thrive in a home without small critters (cats and such). Lilly has shown to be dog selective, but we think she would really prefer to be the only dog in the home. All she wants is love and attention from humans, and as the only dog she will definitely get that! Lilly had her DNA tested and is a mix of Dogo Argentino, Foxhound and Plott Hound.A family that is dog savvy and willing to invest the time to train and communicate with Lilly is what will be best for her. A home with no children or older teenagers would be best. Her heart and love are the purest. She just wants to be loved and cherished and given the opportunity to reciprocate the same with her FURever family.Lilly asked us to share this: If you are looking for a loyal best friend, look no further. I am YOUR girl. The family that adopts lovely Lilly will have won the K9 lottery. If you are interested in adding Lilly to your family, please complete an application on our website: www.crcpa.org

Story
Bruce is a fabulous example of a forgiving and loving dog that was abandoned and found himself on the streets of a small town in Tennessee.  He had nowhere to go and some kind people took him in to hold him safely while Critter Cavalry Rescue takes time to find him the best home ever.   He is a Plott hound/Pit mix from what we can see in his markings and his stature.  He is 2 years old and 65 pounds and he is one special dog that is so handsome and is truly a gentle giant!  This boy has everything going for him with great house manners and housebroken as well.  He crate trained and is living in a foster home in an apartment.  He is a medium energy young man that gets along well with the other dog in his foster home.  He loves play time outside, as well as being a snuggly couch potato. Bruce is learning to walk on leash and will need daily practice to stop pulling. He loves to ride in a car, likes carrots and ice cubes. When at home he loves to look out the window and will do that for hours.  Recently he spent some time boarding and was a favorite with the staff and he demonstrated an ability to be very sweet and easy with some of the children of the staff members.  The only NO about Bruce is that he is not fond of cats, so no feline siblings.  He would probably do best with another gentle, playful dog of his same size.  He would be fine being the only dog and always center of attention, too!  Older children over 7 years of age might be best, but only because of his size.  If you are looking for a best friend and/or family member to run, hike, play, explore, and then curl up for some couch time, Bruce is your guy!  He is so beautiful and regal.  He looks around like he is surveying his kingdom and hoping that all is well.  You could really make his life a happy ending if you could consider adopting Bruce.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask all the questions that you need and also ask for an adoption form. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Jolene is a brindle beauty! She loves her people and has learned some improved leash manners. Jolene is still working on her self-control when she's out and on a leash. (Sometimes she's a little much when she sees other animals.) We think Jolene would be happiest as your only dog, so that she can have all the love and continue to learn how to make good choices.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.10/27 Still available! 10/9 PepperHave you ever seen such perfectly painted on stripes? His coat is stunning. He's been in rescue for a year. And there's just no reason for it. He has everything in the world going for him. Good with kids, good with other dogs of all sizes and genders. Pepper is friendly. He's playful. But most of all, more than anything, he is full of love. He will cuddle you till the cows come home. But as much as he loves a good cuddle, he doesn't demand anything. He's very unassuming. He is also content to lay on a bed in the warm sunshine. If I had to describe Pepper with one work it would be: peaceful. He's an easy going, happy, medium energy dude. He's about 2 years old and weighs about 50-60 slim pounds. He's very fit. He is house and crate trained, although he really doesn't need a crate because he is not destructive. He's just an all around good boy and he deserves a home of his own. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations.
