Story
Snuggles in bed, a long leisurely walk to your local coffee shop, sipping a latte on the patio and then a stop at the dog park afterwards to play… if this sounds like a perfect Saturday morning to you, Heidi just might be your soulmate! With a light blonde brindle coat and a pair of adorable floppy ears, Heidi is suspected to be a Plott Hound, Pittie mix. We estimate her age to be around 1 year old, but she is a rescue so these are just our best guesses! Fall in love with Heidi here: https://youtu.be/RmrbYwysRmo?feature=shared Heidi is currently fostered in a loving home with her foster pawrents and their 6 year old playful Pyr. Heidi adores her doggy foster sister, and they enjoy romping around the back yard together. Heidi loves to go to dog parks and coffee shops with her people, and she even goes to doggy daycare once a week. When you first meet Heidi, she’ll take a moment to sniff and check you out, and then she’ll greet you with lots of kisses. She has a tail that never stops wagging around the ones she loves, and she loves just about everyone. Heidi adores humans, her foster mom describes her as snuggly, sweet and affectionate. With new dogs, Heidi behaves similarly. She’s a happy and outgoing pup with a fun and playful presence. She’s never met a dog she doesn’t like, and her time in doggy daycare has made that evident! Sweet Heidi shares treats and food well with other dogs, and coexists calmly with other dogs well. Heidi is also amazing with kids. Here at the rescue she met a six year old, and he was so impressed by how gentle Heidi was with him. We believe Heidi would make a great family dog for a home with kids aged six and up. Heidi is a very impressive girl, she’s so incredibly smart, easy on leash and good in the car. She’s confident and eager to please, and SO food motivated! She loves treats, and puzzle toys, and especially her Kong. Heidi would be a great candidate for off-leash training, agility training, or just learning cool party tricks. Heidi is perfectly dog-friendly, and could fit in well with just about any pack, or as a second dog, or as an only dog. In her foster home, she gets two to three walks a day, and would appreciate a similar schedule or a fenced backyard in her forever home. She is well behaved and so friendly, making her an easy fit for an apartment lifestyle. She could be a great family dog, or a perfect companion dog for anyone looking to be adored. We do not recommend Heidi for a home with kitties. We are willing to test Heidi with anything you need us to in order to ensure she is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. Story
Star is the perfect addition to someone who wants the companionship of a dog without the addition of a big change to your day to day life. She isn’t going to disturb the peace, take your favorite spot on the couch, or insist that you become an avid runner so she can tag along. Star will quietly scooch in next to you, be happy to join you on walks around the neighborhood, and be a great playmate to your current dog if you are here as a canine matchmaker. One of my favorite things is how loving and sweet she is without being demanding or pushy. She likes to be close but won’t knock you over. She loves giving polite kisses, no whole-face messy moves here. Take a look and then come back to read more https://youtu.be/QaNmPwFrEMU Star has a quiet, almost shy approach to new experiences but she is est. to be only 1 year old, so the whole world is something to see and learn about. It doesn’t take her long to feel comfortable, especially with a little loving guidance by her person. She has great basic leash skills and takes her time to soak up the sights and sounds of her environment. It is very sweet to sit front row and see her enjoying something for the first time. Passing and meeting new dogs on leash is approached with calm interest and easy redirection if needed. When introduced to a handful of new dogs, Star met them each politely. As the group grew bigger and dogs began to pair up to wrestle and chase she was mindful not to be a third wheel. Having a few ball-loving fetch stars in the year that day, a couple tennis balls were added to the mix and she shared without any issue and showed us her budding fetch skills. At one point we though she was only 50% of the way to mastering fetch but she ended up showing us she is closer to 90%. The direct ball-to-hand move is that last 10%. It was easy to see that Star felt naturally at-ease with other dogs and would benefit from a playful, medium-energy doggy sibling in the home. We took Star inside to get out of the rain and have some couch time and she showed us that the couch is where she shines! She wasn’t sure about our rug, and comically tried to avoid it at first but eventually decided it was nothing to fear. I like to imagine she was playing the floor is lava rug edition. The couch was there the snuggly bugle in her came out and we didn’t want it to end. To add to her friendly nature, Star was very polite when she met our resident cat and we believe she could live peacefully with a feline friend. Her ideal home would be one with a slower pace, not slow, but a medium- energy lifestyle suits her personality. Another dog with a friendly and playful approach would be great and kids are welcome and we anticipate she would be appreciated most by slightly older kids who want a dog to snuggle and play fetch with while being gentle and patient with her as she learns about all the good-stuff that comes with being a family dog. She is no doubt an affectionate, playful, and loyal companion who will be a shining Star in your world. Hi, my name is Jack and I am a super, duper sweet boy looking for my forever home. I’m a 2 year old Plott Hound mix, around 72 lbs. I am a big fan of the hoomans and other doggos and I would be happy to have a doggo friend to hang and play with. I love being active and I'm super smart - hey we could be hiking buddies. I am a big boy at 72 lbs so probably best I don't go to a home with the really littles, I would hate to knock one over, or even sit on one! Can you find room in your home for me? *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
Let it go, let it gooooooo ...Can't hold it back anymore ... Yes, my name is Elsa, just like that Elsa! I came into this world in February, right in the middle of a chilly San Antonio winter when the temps were plummeting, and life was tough for many. But fate smiled upon me, and a kind-hearted man and his family came to my rescue, sparing me from the freezing cold. I'll be honest; I'm a sensitive soul. Loud voices and sudden noises tend to rattle me, but let me tell you, once I've warmed up to you, I'm a different dog entirely. I'll shower you with kisses and share my whole heart. You see, I'm not just pretty on the outside; I'm smart and gentle, too. What I need most is a patient family willing to give me the time and space to settle into my new home. Trust me; I have so much love to give. In my foster home, they've discovered a side of me that shines when I play with their Big Great Pyrenees. We're like a couple of kids, playing hide and seek, and chasing each other around. I'm also a sunbather at heart, so outdoor lounging in the sun is a favorite pastime of mine. Now, here's the thing: I'm not a fan of long car rides, and I can get a little nervous. But if you speak to me gently and reassure me, I'll find my courage. Leash walks can be a bit tricky too, but with your patience and encouragement, I'm willing to give it a try. In the evenings, I like to cozy up in bed with my humans, though I don't demand it. I just love to be near the ones who care for me. I'm on the lookout for a forever home, a place where I'll be cherished and appreciated just as much as I have been in my foster family. If you're seeking a loyal companion who's ready to bloom with your love, look no further - I'm right here. Goober is a kind old soul. He's a social loving buddy. He likes kids attention, he'll say hi to anyone big, small, young, old, male, female, there is NO LIMIT to his love :) He's also good with cats and gets along with other dogs regardless of size or gender. I mean, what else can you ask for?? We must admit he is a little shy at first with big dogs but once they say hi, he's ready to play tag. He is good on leash and enjoys walks at sunset(in S Texas that is the coolest part of the day). He knows a few commands like sit, stop, stay, and go. He has never shown aggression of any type. He doesn't guard food nor toys. This is what his foster mom says about Goober, "He'll make you laugh in sadness, console you in grief or simply keep you company in happy or quiet times. He wants nothing more than to be your best friend and confidante!! He is kind of like a Golden BOY!!" Adopt this kind and quiet soul and give him a couch to hang on and a lap to keep warm!! Story
Have you ever read a novel that has so many twist and turns that by the time you get to the last chapter, you have NO idea who won and who is the REAL good guy?? Well, I believe my life is like that. I came from somewhere, no one really knows where, and I ended up at the pound, somehow.... So i was actually adopted as a cute puppy from the pound..... and THEN 5 months later... I was saved at a busy intersection with a badly injured back leg.... no "family" around :( SO, luckily I was saved by a RESCUER!!! I mean, what are the odds?? So my name is Artie and now I am healed up and looking for my furever REAL family. I am a great sized pup, 30# of fun and love and all kinds of playtime! I love to run and play, tug of war and keep away I excel at and the zoomies too! I am great with other dogs, and kids and am ok with cats but require a good introduction and experienced dog/cat introducer with monitoring as I may chase a kittie if it runs. So, I also have learned quite a few commands, sit, stay, crate, working on leave it. I am super smart AND MOTIVATED to help find my next best chapter. I will cuddle with you when I am tired and I love to be close to you. ADOPT ME SOON!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Finnean is a good looking boy, that is easy to see. What is a little harder to see is his heart. He is a sensitive soul that loves ease and calm, oh yes, and treats! It might even be best to say- his heart is in his stomach. He doesn’t have expensive taste though, he is as happy with MilkBones as he is with grade A jerky. Take a look at him here https://youtu.be/i3gLRxV53C0 Just like his taste in treats, simple is perfect with him. No frills, no fancy. He loves routines and shines in structure and stability. If he was a person, the military would be recruiting him. Estimated to be 3 years old and weighing 55 lbs, lapdog was never in his cards so you wont have to worry about that. He will be close by but won’t insist on affection. He loves the quiet moments of connection, letting you know he is there without being imposing, happy with little head scratches and you calling him over for the companionship. When it comes to his canine companions, Finnean welcomes them. He loves to play with moderately playful dogs and is especially skilled at navigating the dynamics of group play. He greets and welcomes new dogs with ease and a calm approach. While he’s not one to initiate play right away, once he’s comfortable, he loves a good rough and tumble round of wrestling. A home with a yard and doggy friends who match his energy level would be ideal for him. Leash walking is a mixed bag for Finnean. He’s generally easy to walk but prefers quiet walks over busy sidewalks. A calm, attentive handler will help him continue to grow his confidence in these environments as needed. Not everyones life involves busy sidewalks and this isn’t the only way for him to be stimulated and get physical exercise. Indoors, we see moments where it is clear he is experiencing something new, those are teachable moments and may come up as he settles into a home.Guiding and teaching will strengthen your bond and watching him fully find his ease will be deeply gratifying. Finnean isn’t a fan of kennels and may get anxious if left contained for too long, though he is making improvements in this as his foster gently guides him to knowing crates are comfortable and safe spaces. We never can know what a rescue dog has faced in their past but we can absolutely promise them only the moving forward. Thanks to his foster dad’s guidance, crating has become a stress-free process, especially when it’s paired with his favorite thing—treats. Finnean’s ideal home would be one that understands his needs for patience, and time to get comfortable. The quiet, simple life with a little yard would be this boys heaven. While he’s not suited for a cat-friendly household (he was a bit terrified of the cat,) he has the potential to thrive in a home where his independent, food-loving, and playful spirit can truly shine. Are you Finneans someone? We sure hope so. Apply today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6740b688cd95d10ccf07024d Questions? You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Roux is a great dog all around! She loves food and will do anything you ask of her for a treat. She loves to hang out with you on the couch or go on a walk and be right by your side. I have used to app sniffspot to take her to play in private backyards and she loves it! No dog parks because she doesn’t get along instantly with other dogs
