You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ruby was like a legend in a rural area south of Weatherford, OK.  She had been seen by many individuals and many had tried to help her but she wouldn't let anyone close to her.  Ruby has been a mother many times and some of her puppies have been rescued. After one of her litter of pups died, our rescue efforts turned to trapping her.  After several days, she was caught and the process of vetting and building trust began.  Due to abandonment and living wild alone for so long it will be a challenge to gain her trust. She has been able to trust several of the volunteers at the shelter. We are still looking for that very special home and family that is willing to put in the time to establish the trust and gain the love of Ruby. She is the best "all around" dog at the shelter! She gets along well with all the other dogs. He is a little fearful on meeting new people for the first time but warms up after he knows you. He is curious and has lots of energy.  He is sweet and loves to play with other dogs. He needs some training and human attention but would make a great companion if given love in a new home. He is friendly with people and is curious and energetic, but due to being confined in the shelter for so long is very shy. The Catahoula breed is known for "extreme intelligence".  He needs a secure fenced yard. He is ready to be trained and will make a great companion as he is eager to please and have attention. A playmate would make his life complete. 2 years in a sanctuary makes gaining trust a process, but he would be so worth it and is very deserving of a family.
