Story
Meet Avery!Avery is a large American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a goofy, playful personality and energy to spare. This fun-loving pup is always ready for action and would be thrilled to have a buddy to play with all day long.Avery is great with other dogs and absolutely loves playtime. Avery especially loves playing with his Foster brother Zion! He is curious about cats and may chase them, but does not treat them like prey. Slow introductions are recommended when introducing to animals and humans. Because of Avery's size and energetic enthusiasm, a home with older kids is recommended.Smart and eager to learn, Avery already knows several commands including sit, paw, down, and around, and is currently working on stay/wait. Like many young, energetic dogs, Avery is also working on polite greetings, especially controlling jumping and mouthiness when meeting new people. The ideal home for Avery would include a fenced-in backyard and, ideally, another playful dog to be a built-in best friend. With continued training, structure, and plenty of playtime, Avery will thrive and be an incredibly loyal, fun companion. Avery is looking for an adopter that also understand that his playful mouthiness and jumping will take training and patience to help him control his puppy antics. To get more information about Avery, please send an email to his foster family to wcacfosterfam24@gmail.com with the subject "Interest in Avery 261730" Primary Color: Brindle- Brown Weight: 69.5 Age: 1yrs 6mths 0wks

Story
My wife and I acquired Orca at Saving Grace adoption in February. She is a lively and active dog and I did not consider how much time Orca would require to care for her and our way of life and routines have been severely altered. I work a graveyard shift and only get about 3 hours sleep (get to bed at about 3am) before she starts barking about 6am needing to go out and I need to walk her. My wife has lost a lot of sleep while I am away at work and her health needs have been compromised. Orca is a good dog, not mean but wants to play a lot and she needs someone who can continue to give her the time and attention she needs.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application ›   Oh, hey there! I’m Walton—certified good boy, professional toy enthusiast, and a true comeback kid. I was this close to taking the Big Sleep at the shelter, but some amazing humans gave me a second chance. And let me tell you—I’m making the most of it! First things first: I am house trained, handsome, and hilarious. I LOVE toys—squeaky, bouncy, chewy, you name it. If there’s a game of fetch or a good ol’ tug-of-war, I’m all in! Humans are my favorite—I just want to be around my people and soak up all the love they’ve got to give. I can get along with other dogs, but honestly? I’d rather be the king of my castle. And when it comes to food, I prefer to keep my dinner mine, thank you very much. My dream home? A quiet place with some awesome humans who want a loyal, loving, and slightly goofy sidekick. No tiny humans running around, please—I prefer a more relaxed vibe. If you’ve got a couch, some snacks, and space for a four-legged shadow, I’m ready to move in. Let’s do this!     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 6:01 pm

Story
Kashka is a young, joyful, people-loving girl who combines playfulness, intelligence, and deep affection. She has a big personality and a big heart — the kind of dog who greets you with a wagging tail, leans into your legs for love, and happily curls up beside you after a day of engagement and enrichment. 💖 What Kashka Loves Balanced activity, movement, and connection. Kashka is a high-energy dog, but due to her hip dysplasia, her exercise currently needs to be thoughtful, structured, and controlled until her medical treatment plan is complete. She thrives with: • multiple short, low-impact walks • gentle play sessions (rolling a ball, light fetch, interactive toys) • swimming, which she absolutely loves and is one of the best and most important exercises for her going forward • sniffing, exploring, and engaging her environment at her own pace Her favorite way to start the day is melting into her human for hugs and belly rubs — affection is her love language, and she happily asks for it throughout the day. Mental challenges. Kashka is highly intelligent and truly shines with mental enrichment. Puzzle toys, scent games, and searching for treats hidden in toys help meet her needs while keeping physical impact low. Cardboard “projects.” Supervised box-shredding remains one of her favorite hobbies, approached with enthusiasm and focus. People + dogs. Kashka is extroverted and social. She greets everyone with a wagging tail and leans in for affection. She does best with calm, well-matched dogs, particularly those her size or larger. Outings. She’s a polite, well-mannered companion at cafés, breweries, and other dog-friendly spaces. ⭐ What She’s Great At ✔ Fully crate trained and relaxes comfortably in her crate ✔ Potty trained with no accidents ✔ Walks nicely on leash using a no-pull harness ✔ Extremely affectionate and people-oriented ✔ Smart, curious, and eager to engage ✔ Knows “sit”, "down", "come" and “stop” ✔ Can entertain herself with toys or a cozy bed — a wonderful work-from-home companion ✔ Enjoys gentle catching games, floating toys, and water play 🩺 Medical Note Kashka has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia and is currently awaiting a veterinary treatment plan. While she is naturally energetic and athletic, her activity is being carefully managed to protect her joints until treatment is complete. Her care focuses on: • low-impact, joint-friendly exercise (especially swimming) • appropriate rest and recovery • mental stimulation • following veterinary guidance, which may include medical management, physical therapy, or surgical options With proper care and structure, Kashka remains a happy, playful, and affectionate young dog who loves life and people. 🏡 What Kashka Needs Kashka will thrive with a family who: • understands that she is high energy, but needs controlled exercise for now • enjoys enrichment, training, and companionship over high-impact activity • can follow a veterinary care plan and adjust routines as needed • values affection and connection as much as play A fenced yard or access to safe swimming opportunities is a big plus, but not required with thoughtful management. If you’re looking for a dog who will bond deeply, brighten your days, enjoy gentle adventures (especially in the water!), and happily snuggle up at the end of the day, Kashka could be your perfect match.

Story
We are looking for a loving home for our 6-year-old, 75 lb dog. She is incredibly kind, loyal, and forms deep bonds with her people. While she may be slow to warm up at first, once she trusts you, she becomes affectionate, gentle, and loves being close to her humans. She thrives outdoors and absolutely loves to sniff, explore, and spend time outside. She is strong and enjoys running, so she would do best with an owner who can handle a larger, active dog and provide regular exercise. She does well with people and other pets once properly introduced and given time to adjust. Patience is key, but she rewards it with warmth and companionship. At home, she’s calm and happiest just being near her people. We are looking for a patient, caring home that will give her the time and love she deserves.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Jasper. That’s probably not my real name because my story is unfortunately a lot like many other unwanted pets. I was left to fend for myself not knowing where my next meal would be. Luckily I was rescued and given my chance to shine. I have proven that I really really love people regardless of my early start with humans. I want to be loved so much that I will beg for just a head rub and lap snuggles. Yes I’m a big strong boy but I’m really a small lap dog disguised in a hound dog body. Do I give slobbery kisses, why yes, is there a problem with that? I love to run and play but if given a choice I’d rather be by my persons side. I would make a great adventure companion. Riding shotgun by your side wherever you go, that would be my doggie dream. Currently I share a foster home with lots of other all size dogs but I would really like to be your only ride or die dog. I’ve gone so long without one on one attention that I’m constantly competing for the attention. Am I perfect? Heck no but I’m a diamond in the rough, clay ready to be molded. I’m looking for my person who is ready to be my furever person. One who will love me and never give up on me. I’ve been waiting a long time to just be loved. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 13, 2026, 12:21 am

Story
Meet Orieanna, a beautiful 2-year-old mixed-breed girl weighing about 45 pounds. She’s spayed, up-to-date on all her vaccines, and ready for a loving forever home. Orieanna is a sweet, affectionate companion who forms strong bonds with her person. She’s potty trained, enjoys a good routine, and loves spending time outside—whether it’s exploring the yard, lounging in the sun, or going for relaxing walks. She gets along well with most dogs, but she prefers a home where toys aren’t left out when other dogs are around, as she can be a bit protective of them. Because she bonds so deeply, Orieanna thrives best in a one-person household where she can feel secure and be the center of attention. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will be your best friend through every adventure, Orieanna might be the perfect match.
