Story
3.5 y/o Plott Hound, Maple, is as sweet, friendly and adorable as can be! Favorite pastimes include sitting on the deck to soak up the sun, walks, puzzle toys, and bedtime snuggles. Maple had a bumpy start to life. She was a stray and taken to a shelter, then to a foster in an open rural area. The foster described her as low energy and quiet. A year ago, she was adopted into a small home with a fenced yard in a crowded, active neighborhood. At first, Maple was just as described, but she soon started showing signs of anxiety, due to difficulty adjusting to the smaller space with constantly changing sights and scents - walkers, bikers, and animals, some wild. The overstimulation feeds her anxiety and manifests in barking, pacing, and pawing. Maple is currently very well loved, but given her breed and temperament, would better thrive in a home with more open space and freedom to run/exercise. She is social and playful and would do OK with older kids or a friendly canine companion.

Do you like big mutts and cannot lie? Then Moose may be the dude for you. This mountain cur/plott hound boy has lived in a loving home since he was a pup where he has grown up with a human brother. He's received excellent medical care, and is crate trained. We believe his housetraining will carry over to a new home, as long as the adopter pays attention to his cues and respects his schedule. Fenced in yards are a bonus so this sweet boy has the room to roam that he craves. If you have room in your home and heart, please consider adopting this Moose on the loose!

Charlie is a 7 year old plot hound who was found on the TN/NC border. He unfortunately does not have a microchip and his finders were not able to locate his family. So far he is sweet to all the humans and dogs he has met. He will be cat tested, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped before he moves to his new family.
