Story
Bruce is a fabulous example of a forgiving and loving dog that was abandoned and found himself on the streets of a small town in Tennessee.  He had nowhere to go and some kind people took him in to hold him safely while Critter Cavalry Rescue takes time to find him the best home ever.   He is a Plott hound/Pit mix from what we can see in his markings and his stature.  He is 2 years old and 65 pounds and he is one special dog that is so handsome and is truly a gentle giant!  This boy has everything going for him with great house manners and housebroken as well.  He crate trained and is living in a foster home in an apartment.  He is a medium energy young man that gets along well with the other dog in his foster home.  He loves play time outside, as well as being a snuggly couch potato. Bruce is learning to walk on leash and will need daily practice to stop pulling. He loves to ride in a car, likes carrots and ice cubes. When at home he loves to look out the window and will do that for hours.  Recently he spent some time boarding and was a favorite with the staff and he demonstrated an ability to be very sweet and easy with some of the children of the staff members.  The only NO about Bruce is that he is not fond of cats, so no feline siblings.  He would probably do best with another gentle, playful dog of his same size.  He would be fine being the only dog and always center of attention, too!  Older children over 7 years of age might be best, but only because of his size.  If you are looking for a best friend and/or family member to run, hike, play, explore, and then curl up for some couch time, Bruce is your guy!  He is so beautiful and regal.  He looks around like he is surveying his kingdom and hoping that all is well.  You could really make his life a happy ending if you could consider adopting Bruce.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask all the questions that you need and also ask for an adoption form. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 3, 2024, 10:10 pm

Story
Samson is a very sweet boy!! He LOVES going for walks, using his nose - exploring new areas, and playing in a yard with toys and next to his doggie friends! It may take some time for him to warm up to you but once he does, it is nonstop fun! This past week Samson took a field trip to our local park with his kennel buddy, Ms. Moonie, and he did very well! Samson was confidently curious the second he stepped foot in the parking lot. He was smelling all the smells and taking in all the scenery the park has to offer. - - - Hi, I’m Samson!! I'm looking for my furever home. I am a 8-month old male mix (waiting for my DNA results!). I have started basic obedience training with my new human friends and have been really enjoying it! I am learning how to sit, stay, and to have patience walking through doorways. My new friends are SO impressed that I learned to wait until I am outside to use the potty! They tell me I'm a very good boy! I've been enjoying car rides to the local park, shops, etc. I may take a second to warm up to new people but once I do, I will be a fun-loving part of the family. I also love other dogs. Outside I like to play fetch, soccer, tug, and get the ZOOMIES especially in the SNOW!! Inside Samson likes to cuddle, nap, and chew on toys 🙂 Samson is in great health, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines; he currently weighs 61 lbs but may continue to grow. Samson would do best in a quiet, loving household that likes to exercise and is willing to continue training. He would prefer a home without children under 13 years.

Story
Are you looking for a handsome and distinguished pup? Well, look no further than Stanley! Stanley is a well-trained 8-year-old pooch who weighs in at 55 pounds. He was found as a stray with an old eye injury that doesn't slow him down one bit. In addition to being extremely good looking, Stanley is also quite smart! He’s completed a board and train program, with lifetime follow-ups available to support his training. Stanley thrives with structure and will do best with an owner who can maintain that environment. An adventurous spirit, Stanley loves car rides and is a wonderful companion for outdoor activities, especially long hikes where he shines on a leash. He’s even gone camping before. If you’re looking for an adventure buddy, Stan is your man! Stanley gets along with other dogs, though he usually prefers females to males. He has also lived with cats before.  Stanley is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped, so he's ready to move in if you'll have him! If you're interested in meeting Stanley, visit EHRDOGS.ORG and submit an application. Don't forget to ask for STANLEY MARTIN STEELE!November 3, 2024, 6:29 pm
