Story
Valeera came to us with her 3 babies and her baby Daddy. All of them have since found their own families and Valeera finds herself alone and still waiting. Valeera has a sweet and friendly disposition. She is a happy girl who loves to be with people. Valeera is a favorite of the shelter staff and volunteers who all adore her and enjoy spending time with her in the play yard or taking walks on our trail around the pond. Valeera is good with people and other dogs. We do not know what she thinks about cats. Valeera is about 2 years old and 50 pounds. Please help Valeera find the loving home she deserves. Update: Valeera had tested positive for Lyme & Anaplasmosis, two common tick borne disease and has already completed her course of oral antibiotic. Story
Are you looking for a handsome and distinguished pup? Well, look no further than Stanley! Stanley is a well-trained 8-year-old pooch who weighs in at 55 pounds. He was found as a stray with an old eye injury that doesn't slow him down one bit. In addition to being extremely good looking, Stanley is also quite smart! He’s completed a board and train program, with lifetime follow-ups available to support his training. Stanley thrives with structure and will do best with an owner who can maintain that environment. An adventurous spirit, Stanley loves car rides and is a wonderful companion for outdoor activities, especially long hikes where he shines on a leash. He’s even gone camping before. If you’re looking for an adventure buddy, Stan is your man! Stanley gets along with other dogs, though he usually prefers females to males. He has also lived with cats before.  Stanley is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped, so he's ready to move in if you'll have him! If you're interested in meeting Stanley, visit EHRDOGS.ORG and submit an application. Don't forget to ask for STANLEY MARTIN STEELE!November 6, 2024, 12:45 pm

Story
Storm is not just your average puppy—he’s a Hurricane Milton survivor with a heart of gold! This adorable brindle bundle of joy is 4 months old, weighs around 20 lbs, and is ready to grow into a medium-sized dog who’s as sweet as he is playful. Despite his rough start, Storm is ALL about fun! He’s got puppy energy and loves to play, whether it’s chasing toys or just being goofy. But don’t let his playful side fool you—he’s also super affectionate and will snuggle up on your lap for all the belly rubs and cuddles you can handle. Storm is a people puppy, so he’s great with kids, other dogs, and even cats—he’s just one big love bug who wants to be friends with everyone he meets. He knows sit and is also a car pro, so whether you’re heading to the park or the drive-thru, Storm is always ready for an adventure! Plus he can really rock a pajama set and make anyone smile while doing so (see his second picture). Like all puppies, Storm will need some training, but he’s super eager to please and will soak up everything you teach him. He’s got loads of potential to be the best, well-behaved companion once he’s had a little time to learn the ropes. Storm is microchipped, vaccinated, and is neutered. His adoption fee is $475. Ready to give this goofy, lovable Hurricane pup the best life ever? Apply to adopt STORM HURRICANE MILTON at www.ehrdogs.org and let him storm into your life with all the loyalty, cuddles, and puppy shenanigans he has to offer!November 20, 2024, 1:33 pm

Story
Bruce is a fabulous example of a forgiving and loving dog that was abandoned and found himself on the streets of a small town in Tennessee.  He had nowhere to go and some kind people took him in to hold him safely while Critter Cavalry Rescue takes time to find him the best home ever.   He is a Plott hound/Pit mix from what we can see in his markings and his stature.  He is 2 years old and 65 pounds and he is one special dog that is so handsome and is truly a gentle giant!  This boy has everything going for him with great house manners and housebroken as well.  He crate trained and is living in a foster home in an apartment.  He is a medium energy young man that gets along well with the other dog in his foster home.  He loves play time outside, as well as being a snuggly couch potato. Bruce is learning to walk on leash and will need daily practice to stop pulling. He loves to ride in a car, likes carrots and ice cubes. When at home he loves to look out the window and will do that for hours.  Recently he spent some time boarding and was a favorite with the staff and he demonstrated an ability to be very sweet and easy with some of the children of the staff members.  The only NO about Bruce is that he is not fond of cats, so no feline siblings.  He would probably do best with another gentle, playful dog of his same size.  He would be fine being the only dog and always center of attention, too!  Older children over 7 years of age might be best, but only because of his size.  If you are looking for a best friend and/or family member to run, hike, play, explore, and then curl up for some couch time, Bruce is your guy!  He is so beautiful and regal.  He looks around like he is surveying his kingdom and hoping that all is well.  You could really make his life a happy ending if you could consider adopting Bruce.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask all the questions that you need and also ask for an adoption form. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 20, 2024, 9:40 pm
