Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Pistachio is an 18-month-old hound mix bursting with personality and energy! At 50 lbs, he’s the perfect mix of snuggles and silliness, always ready to brighten your day with his playful antics. Pistachio is dog-social and would thrive in a home with another canine buddy to learn from. However, he’s a bit too curious about cats—his playful enthusiasm isn’t quite reciprocated by his feline friends, so he’d do best in a cat-free home. This smart boy is eager to learn and thrives when his brain is kept busy. While he has mastered "sit" in calm environments, he needs consistent training and activities to keep him engaged—idle time just doesn’t suit this clever pup. Pistachio loves playing in the yard, going for walks, and tackling new challenges, but he can get bored quickly, so a dedicated and active home is key. Pistachio is not just energetic—he’s also affectionate and has a knack for bringing joy to everyone he meets. If you’re looking for a smart, fun-loving companion who’s ready for adventure and cuddles, Pistachio could be your perfect match!   Visit 4theloveofdog.org to learn more!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Apply on our web site: http://4theloveofdog.org/adopt.html December 12, 2024, 10:54 pm

Story
MEET KYLE! - I am in a foster home, please make an appointment to meet me! Check Out His Video!*Kyle`s adoption fee is waived thanks to the Jeff`s Fund*Kyle`s story is a truly remarkable one - it demonstrates the resiliency of dogs who have overcome their past. Kyle was living mainly outdoors with several other dogs, and had likely never lived in a traditional home environment before his time in foster. He lost most of his fur to mange and tested positive for heartworm disease. Luckily, a dedicated foster stepped up to help him recover and give him some much needed R&R. Kyle is a friendly dude with everyone he meets from toddlers to construction workers & other visitors. He loves other dogs too but his true vibe is a couch potato. Kyle has recovered physically and is ready for a family to choose him as their canine companion so he can move onto the next chapter in his life! He would LOVE to have a yard as he thoroughly enjoys being outdoors. He will sunbathe till sunset and loves to roll around in the grass. Kyle would prefer a home where there are people home more often than not. He is very smart and is now crate trained and potty trained. Could use a refresher on his basic obedience but learns fast so that will be fun and easy to do! He will voice his opinions if he is left alone, so you may want to be careful if you live near noise-sensitive neighbors! If you can give this amazing boy the home he is looking for, please contact the shelter today!Kyle is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team. For more information on Kyle or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. Story
We believe Ric could be a pure bred Catahoula Leopard Dog! And words used to describe the breed describe sweet Ric perfectly: inquisitive, intelligent, energetic, gentle, independent and LOVING. Ric is highly food motivated and is willing to learn anything quickly for a treat! He’s good on a leash, and due to his hound nature would do best with a fenced in yard— he can be a wanderer. He surprisingly passed our cat test with flying colors! He was so gentle and even submissive to the grown cat and 5 kittens we have. Though he is extremely gentle, he could use some manners! He may be prone to counter surfing if he ever got the opportunity, but with work he’d make an amazing house dog! He’s great with every person he meets, and every dog so far. Since he’s a hound, he may would chase pocket pets, as it’s his nature. Ric would make a great running partner, couch potato… really he’d fit into any family as long as he gets love!
