Welcome Zeus to CCPAL Foster Program. Zeus is a 18-month old 70 pound Plot Hound/Medium Terrier blend dog. He was abandonded by his owners when they moved and left him at the house they moved from. He was tied up to the porch. Good Samaritans spotted him and were feeding him and giving him water until they realized the owners weren’t coming back. Zeus is now in foster home waiting for his new forever home. He is great on a leash and not leash reactive. He is good in a crate and he likes car rides. He is attentive, smart and potty trained. He is overall a wonderful dog and is not food aggressive or reactive with his bowl. He would make a wonderful outdoor enthusiast a great companion. He would make a perfect man dog. He looks tough but he is not at all how he looks. He would make a great family dog if the man works out of the house. His looks would make the family feel secure even if he loves everyone. He is a lower shedding dog with a nice soft coat. He is healthy, vaccinated and neutered. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. *Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.* Poppy is a sweet almost 2 year old mixed breed girl looking adventure and family! She is ready to hit the trails and wants to explore a terrific new life with a family who loves her. Listed breed is an educated guess made by our veterinarian and is NOT a guarantee - this also means we have no way of knowing what a puppy's adult size will be. This dog is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via Barton's Barkers transport services upon adoption. Their adoption fee is $500 and includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, microchip and transport costs. Second Chances lists dogs as being available in White River Junction, VT because we transport our dogs to the area every 3rd week after they have been adopted. All of our local shelters have a high euthanasia rate due to overpopulation so we created our rescue group to primarily adopt to the northern states to help keep as many dogs as we can from entering our kill shelters.   ##2097130##
