--FOSTER PUPDATE--Marco A17176545 lbs. neutered male, approx 1 year oldHandsome? ✅Playful & affectionate? ✅✅This active young Plott hound/pittie mix is looking for a special forever home—and if you’re the right match, he’ll be your most loyal sidekick!🌟 Marco’s Ideal Home:A calm, consistent environment (read: not chaotic or full of new faces every day).A yard to run in or an active adopter who can take him jogging, hiking, or for long structured walks daily.Adults or older teens—too much noise and activity can overwhelm him.Someone who enjoys training and enrichment—he’s super smart and loves working with his people!A potential dog sibling with a similar energetic play style: He’s done great on buddy walks and backyard romps with his bestie after slow, patient introductions💙 Marco at a Glance:Energy Level: Medium to high. This boy lives for movement and loves a vigorous walk or jog twice a day. Exercise and mental enrichment help him manage his energy and give him a job to do.Size: Medium, with big hound dog ears and an even bigger heart.Training:Crate trained: sleeps 7-8 hours every night in his crate, and goes in willingly during the day and when left alone for 3-4 hours.Potty trained: will go to the door and whine when he needs to go out.Obedience: Knows basic cues like sit, down, come, and stay, and has even learned “settle”! He loves to learn what you’re asking of him.Loves: Toys (especially crinkly stuffies), zoomies in the yard, cuddles, enrichment games, and all the snacks.💊 About His Needs:Like many smart, energetic pups (especially ones who have been undersocialized), Marco can get overstimulated in new or busy situations, but he thrives in his familiar, calm home environment, and this behavior has already shown improvement. He needs someone to continue patiently introducing him to the world and helping him be the best he can be!Marco is on a test run of some behavioral meds to see if it helps curb his anxiety. With structure, positive reinforcement, and a patient routine, he continues to make great progress!Since adoption events are a little too chaotic for Marco, meeting people at his foster home has been most successful.💕 Why He’s So Worth It:Marco is adorable and a total sweetheart. He loves people (especially his people!), learns fast, and brings nonstop joy and laughs. With the right match, he will thrive and continue to show the affectionate, goofy, and loyal pup he is.
