Story
Bouchy is a 11-month-old, male, hound mix.  He weighs about 50 lbs.  Bouchyy and his 6 littermates were found, when they were 5 weeks old, by a creek last October when the weather was unseasonably cold.  Four of Bouchy’s littermates have found their home and now he is looking for a furever home of his own. Bouchy is house, leash and crate trained.  He loves to play with the dogs in his foster home. He would love to have a family who would take him on long hikes and teach him some tricks. ##2163076##

Story
adoption donation : $599 weight 40 lbs  Age: 9 months as of 12/20       Nacho is an absolute love bug and will make an awesome family dog. This sweet boy doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body, he is all tail wags, kisses and wiggles!    Nacho was found abandoned with his sister in a rural part of Mississippi and was taken into the rescue and quickly settled in, he loved to run and play with the other dogs and snuggle up with his sister in a puppy pile to nap. Recently Nacho arrived at his foster home in the northeast and has charmed everyone, he is friendly to everyone he meets, not a big barker, he  is housebroken, loves toys, and adores playing with his foster brothers and sisters.    Ideally, we would like a home for Nacho with another dog to play with, he absolutely adores every dog he’s ever met and would make a fabulous playmate for any size dog, right now his best buddy is a 14 pound Boston terrier. If he doesn’t have a companion, Nacho would really love an owner who was around a lot, who would take him on walks and hikes or just spending time together, Nacho just loves to be with his person.      Nacho is just a silly, funny, goofy and loving boy. He could use a little training, he does get excited and still jumps up a bit, but he is a smart boy and extremely food motivated, he would be easy to train.    Nacho is the ultimate family dog, he would  love to be in a home with children he can give sloppy kisses to.     Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. Story
Jack is a vibrant, loyal and playful 1 year and 10 months old Plott Hound mix. He weighs about 75 pounds. He's currently enjoying life in his foster home with 3 children (ages 9, 10 and 14 years old) and his best buddy, a 55-pound female pittie mix. Jack is house broken. He is very food motivated and has been easy to train. Jack knows the following commands: "no, sit, down, paw, leave it, wait, no pull, potty, and come". He walks well on a leash and really enjoys his outings with a harness and retractable leash. Jack can be left outside his crate when his family goes out. All he does is to roam around, lays on the couch and chills. He never causes any damage or has accidents. Personality: Jack starts shy and needs slow introductions. His foster family has worked hard to build his confidence and he has come a very long way since being rescued. Jack is still young and playful. He loves chewing on toys, playing tug of war with his ropes and fetching. He can be high energy when not exercised or mentally stimulated. Jack is a happy pup and knows how to entertain himself with toys and chews when needed. This pup enjoys couch cuddles with his foster family and likes to watch TV or snuggling his foster sister pup. Ideal Home: Jack would thrive in an active household where he can get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Jack will need very slow introductions to other dogs because Jack can be really timid initially. With cats, Jack can be curious but won't go after them. The only thing is that he can get a bit nervous if the cat is aggressive towards him. Jack's rescue story: Jack was dumped in a new development neighborhood as a very young pup. His foster mom found him in early January. This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.) To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. PLEASE READ:  •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.  •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.    •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments. Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well. Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation. For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. Sandy Paws Rescue’s MA license number # 0272 ##2190043##
