Story
Hi, I’m Duckie! I was found all alone, and it took me a little while to realize I was safe. But with the help of a confident buddy, I’ve started to come out of my shell! I’m still a little shy, but I love to cuddle and get along great with cats. I’m learning to play with toys and have discovered how much fun it is to romp around with other dogs! I’ll thrive in a home with a confident furry friend to help me continue building my confidence. Could you be my forever family? Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/genericYou can learn about the adoption process by visiting:  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.  Dog's Name:  Baby Henry (HEN0225ALAMD)Estimated Breed:  Plott Hound / Mountain Cur mix  Approximate Age: 12 weeks    Approximate Weight:  10 LBS  Currently Living at:  Foster  Adoption Fee:  $500DOG'S DESCRIPTION:  Meet Baby Henry! This beautiful brindle boy came to K-9 Lifesavers from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. Henry has landed a nice foster home, but what he really wants is to find his forever family. Could that be with you? Henry is your typical sweet, friendly and playful puppy. He does excellent with other dogs and would love a playmate or to meet doggie friends around the neighborhood. Henry rides well in the car, so if you’re looking for a road trip buddy, he has that covered too. At his young age, he is in his prime for training and socialization. Henry's fun and curious nature will keep you laughing and smiling. Submit an application today and change this very deserving boy's life forever. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/. Story
With one blue eye and one brown eye, Tito sees both the earth and the heavens, making him a truly special boy! At two years old, this handsome pup has the perfect balance of playfulness and calm. He walks beautifully on a leash, knows "sit," and takes treats nicely (most of the time!). Tito isn’t jumpy or overly rambunctious—he has a low to medium energy level that makes him an excellent walking or jogging partner. He has a great temperament with other dogs and shared a kennel with another dog when he was in the shelter. But what really makes Tito shine is his affectionate nature—he adores attention, gives the sweetest kisses, and even rubs against you like a cat when he wants love. He’s treat-motivated, playful, and loves a good game of fetch. Most of all, Tito bonds closely with his person and would love a forever home where he can be your loyal companion. If you're looking for a loving, happy, and well-mannered dog to join your life’s adventures, Tito is the one for you! ***TITO IS CURRENTLY FOSTERED IN TX, BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc.). This adoption fee includes all current basic vaccinations, deworming, microchip (with lifetime registration), fecal analysis, spay, and a heartworm test. Story
Aria is a sweet, loving, rambunctious 2 year old plott hound. She LOVES people and lives with a cat currently. She also lives with 2 young children. She is high energy and would love an active home where she gets plenty of time outside to sniff and explore. She likes to play with other dogs, but can be selective about her playmates. Aria is house broken, crate trained (although she would prefer to snuggle in bed!), and food motivated (good for training!). She walks well on a leash, and is working hard on her manners. With enough exercise, she is laid back in the house and snoozes on the couch all day. Aria would love an adopter that likes to run, hike, and spend plenty of time outdoors. Aria is a very typical hound -- confident, smart, stubborn, loving, and loyal. She is a fantastic dog, but our lifestyle doesn't give her the time and attention she needs to thrive.
