Max is a 2-3 year old, 75 lb Plott hound mix. He has beautiful brindle markings. He has been good with other dogs, kids and a cat we introduced him to. He is not fully accustomed to walking on a leash but is improving daily. He appears to be at least partially if not fully house trained and only goes in the outdoor section of his kennel occasionally and never the indoors section. Max is a calmer dog who is a little shy at first but opens up quickly. He would make a wonderful addition to your family. He will be fully vetted 11/4/24. He is on antibiotics for Lyme's disease (a common and easily treated tick borne illness). MIA is a 2 year old plott hound that weighs 49 lbs. She was found underneath a porch during a cold spell this past winter. She was very thin and had lost most of her already short coat. Mia was otherwise healthy so time, patience and TLC was her treatment plan! Her coat is started to grow back, albeit slowly. Sometimes hair loss this severe can takes months. Now, almost 6 months after she came to us, we know she's a brindle. She is a very sweet, affectionate dog. She will bond closely with her forever family. She gets along well with other dogs and would be fine with children. While with us, Mia has graduated from foster home to our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. Here, she's under the close supervision of her inmate and learning the ABC's of obedience training. Her name Mia? It's short for Amelia Mignonette Grimaldi Thermopolis Renaldo because she is our princess! Can you help her to her final "glow up?" Macy was found as a stray and taken to animal shelter. She is a sweet 3-4 year old bloodhound. Macy is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heart worm negative. An ABOVE GROUND FULLY FENCED YARD IS REQUIRED TO ADOPT MACY. She is to be an inside dog only. Macy is new to rescue and more info soon.
