Story
🐾 Meet Kiwi! 🐾 Kiwi is a sweet, playful -1 year old brindle mix, weighing a healthy 75 lbs. She’s spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and ready to find her forever family! In her foster home, Kiwi has lived with older children and other dogs, and she fit right in. She’s had the chance to attend professional training, where she blossomed in obedience and socialization with other dogs. Kiwi loves to play with her canine friends and does great in spaces where she can explore and unwind. She’s also learned how to read other dogs’ cues, respecting their need for space when her energy gets a little high. Kiwi’s training has come along beautifully! Each session starts with fun activities like scent work or agility exercises. She’s a big fan of puzzles, scent boxes, and sniffing for treats—anything that gives her curious mind a workout. Here’s a bit more about Kiwi: Crate-trained – Kiwi sleeps through the night without a sound. Obedience – She knows "sit," "touch," "down," "roll," and more! Leash and Car – Great on a leash and a happy traveler. Personality – Gentle with kids, patient when taking treats, and respectful with other dogs. Kiwi is looking for an active, loving family who will give her plenty of chances to play and explore. Could Kiwi be the perfect match for your family? Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. Story
Meet Vaughn - an introverted extrovert in canine form...  this handsome boy is sweet and playful with the reserved disposition that middle age brings.  A pup that LOVES  his walks, but only half as much as he loves his naps.   In the home, Vaughn is a complete gentleman - housebroken, crate trained, and knows all of his basic commands. A little shadow that will happily watch over his family.   A tad shy when meeting new people, he warms up quickly.  When excited, however, he tends to be a little mouthier than most in his play style.  Because of this, we recommend a home with older children or a home with no children at all.   Vaughn likes dogs, but can be selective.  He has no problem sharing his food with his humans, but can guard his food bowl and treats from other dogs.  Because of this, we think he would be best as an only dog or with a family that can manage feeding him separately.  As for cats...  the Plott Hound in him would love to chase them all up a tree.   If you think our little wallflower sounds like the dog for you, please contact his trainer (Kseniya) today at 847.338.3252 or info@redemptionroadinc.org  to schedule your private meet and greet. Story
Let it go, let it gooooooo ...Can't hold it back anymore ... Yes, my name is Elsa, just like that Elsa! I came into this world in February, right in the middle of a chilly San Antonio winter when the temps were plummeting, and life was tough for many. But fate smiled upon me, and a kind-hearted man and his family came to my rescue, sparing me from the freezing cold. I'll be honest; I'm a sensitive soul. Loud voices and sudden noises tend to rattle me, but let me tell you, once I've warmed up to you, I'm a different dog entirely. I'll shower you with kisses and share my whole heart. You see, I'm not just pretty on the outside; I'm smart and gentle, too. What I need most is a patient family willing to give me the time and space to settle into my new home. Trust me; I have so much love to give. In my foster home, they've discovered a side of me that shines when I play with their Big Great Pyrenees. We're like a couple of kids, playing hide and seek, and chasing each other around. I'm also a sunbather at heart, so outdoor lounging in the sun is a favorite pastime of mine. Now, here's the thing: I'm not a fan of long car rides, and I can get a little nervous. But if you speak to me gently and reassure me, I'll find my courage. Leash walks can be a bit tricky too, but with your patience and encouragement, I'm willing to give it a try. In the evenings, I like to cozy up in bed with my humans, though I don't demand it. I just love to be near the ones who care for me. I'm on the lookout for a forever home, a place where I'll be cherished and appreciated just as much as I have been in my foster family. If you're seeking a loyal companion who's ready to bloom with your love, look no further - I'm right here. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Have you ever read a novel that has so many twist and turns that by the time you get to the last chapter, you have NO idea who won and who is the REAL good guy?? Well, I believe my life is like that. I came from somewhere, no one really knows where, and I ended up at the pound, somehow.... So i was actually adopted as a cute puppy from the pound..... and THEN 5 months later... I was saved at a busy intersection with a badly injured back leg.... no "family" around :( SO, luckily I was saved by a RESCUER!!! I mean, what are the odds?? So my name is Artie and now I am healed up and looking for my furever REAL family. I am a great sized pup, 30# of fun and love and all kinds of playtime! I love to run and play, tug of war and keep away I excel at and the zoomies too! I am great with other dogs, and kids and am ok with cats but require a good introduction and experienced dog/cat introducer with monitoring as I may chase a kittie if it runs. So, I also have learned quite a few commands, sit, stay, crate, working on leave it. I am super smart AND MOTIVATED to help find my next best chapter. I will cuddle with you when I am tired and I love to be close to you. ADOPT ME SOON!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Hello there, sorry for the wait ... My name is Doc and I'm here to see YOU actually! Let's see now, you say you're experiencing the lack of a scruffy, fluffy, companion dog in your life? You need to get out and go on walks more? And you say here that you have a huge backyard but no one to play in it with? These symptoms lead me to believe you're suffering from INAD syndrome ... also known as "I need a dog!" disease. Well, I think I can prescribe you something that'll help reduce these symptoms and get you back on track to healthy living. If you'll just go ahead and sign here on my adoption papers, we can get started right now on your treatment actually. Story
Say hello to Hazel, the gentle and shy, 24lb, 3.5 month old hound mix who’s ready to steal your heart! Hazel is the more laid-back of the two sisters, with a sweet and snuggly personality. She’s adjusted beautifully to her foster home, where she enjoys quiet crate time and has been accident-free since day one! Hazel loves belly rubs, snuggles, and soaking up all the love she can get. Though she’s a little timid at first and can get nervous around loud noises, Hazel is making great strides in becoming more confident. She’s learning leash manners and is already a pro at following her foster brother when it’s time to come back inside. Hazel is crate-trained and very treat-motivated, which makes her training sessions a breeze. She’s adjusting to car rides, but with daily practice, she’s improving! Hazel will be an amazing companion for someone who appreciates a gentle soul who just wants to be loved. If you’re looking for a sweet, laid-back pup to complete your family, Hazel is the one!
