Story
A cheerful, happy wiggle butt, this beautiful sweet snuggle bug Rex, is a 1 year and ten month old Plot Hound mix that was rescued as a puppy from a really bad situation. Rex has had a rough go with a rough start on life, after having to be surrendered due to his family losing their home when he was a year old, he was rehomed to family that ended up not being a good match and returned again. Since being at the ranch, Rex has gone through training and has finally received the medical care he needed and is ready to find a great home that loves him as much as we do. He now knows many commands, such as sit, lie down, stay, come, heel , drop it and leave it. He is happy as a clam by your side and just wants to be a good boy for you, he loves to snuggle on the couch or hang out with a toy in his mouth. Rex loves all adults and kids. He loves other dogs and is also great with cats! Rex would make a great hunting partner and stays by your side and has a nose of a bloodhound! Rex has been potty trained and is great on a leash and makes a great hiking or running partner. His favorite thing to do is play tag with his foster sister and run around the farm. Due to Rex’s high energy breed we are requiring his adopter has a fenced in yard so that he can get his zoomies out each day. Inquire about rex by emailing info@jscrrescue.com or fill out our application at JSCRrescue.com I am treat motivated and will eat pretty much everything. I am super gentle with taking food and not food or toy aggressive at all.

Story
Gertie is such a sweet dog that we got as a puppy at the Humane Society. She was born 2/12/2019 per her adoption papers. Good with other animals. Very playful. Loves to run around the backyard and catch balls at the river. Shes a great guard dog and will always let you know when there’s a visitor nearby. She can be a little overwhelming to very small kids because of her excited jumping at first but she’s been around my son regularly since he was around 6. Having to downsize from my house w a yard to a shared apartment w a friend due to financial problems and my film production schedule being too much of a roller coaster ride for her. She needs a yard and a family w older kids. Very house trained and will tell you she needs to go out. She’s the best cuddler I know and it breaks my heart to have to rehome her. She’s truly a great dog and we will miss her very much.

Story
Stone is a very sweet 5 year old Hound Mix. We first saw Stone at the Cobb county animal shelter, while inquiring about adopting her sister. To avoid separating them, we decided to adopt both dogs together. After a few weeks, we realized Stone does not get along with our two cats. We've managed to keep them separated for the majority of their life, but at our new house it has been very hard to keep the cats and dogs separate. Stone would be a better fit in a home as a single pet. Stone does not get along with other dogs either. She can be territorial around other dogs when it comes to food. She is great with people, and loves attention. Other than that, Stone is a major snuggle bug. She loves going on walks, laying out in the sun, and chasing squirrels. She is very good on a leash, and knows many commands. She is very food motivated, so treats are a must. She is crate/potty trained. Stone has been professionally trained, and is very eager to please. She can sit, down, stay & shake.

Story
Lily is a beautiful young Plott Hound/Mix. She&#39s estimated to be around 1yr old, and weighs 33lbs. This sweet girl ended up at an overcrowded Atlanta shelter after she was running around a trailer park in Conyers, GA with her sister (Millie) and they were both picked up as strays. They both ended up very sick, and were at risk for euthanasia list before BarkVille Dog Rescue stepped up for them. Lily is now completely healthy and is ready to find her forever family! Due to her past, she is a little shy and fearful until she gets to know you. She is friendly with other dogs, and is crate trained and house trained. Lily has a medium energy level. She is working on her leash manners, and is learning her basic commands. Lily would love a home that would continue to help her gain confidence, and work on her basic training. She would also do well in a home with another friendly dog. Lily is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. If you&#39re interested in adopting this sweet girl, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.December 10, 2024, 2:49 pm
