Hi I'm Buck! I landed in a county shelter at 9 years old and in very poor physical condition. I was malnourished and missing most of my fur and had lost all hope that I would be a happy, loved dog in my golden years. I was pulled by Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue where I received all of the medical and general care I needed over several months to be healthy and happy again though! I'm a big friendly guy estimated around 70 lbs. I'm a very sweet dog with humans and other dogs at the rescue, but a meet and greet would be best with any family dogs in the home. I walk on a leash just fine and overall am a very good boy! My rescue sees Plott Hound and Catahoula in me (best guess).My $100 adoption fee includes vet check, up to date vaccines, neuter, deworming, microchip and heartworm test (negative). I'm around 7-8 years old and instead of enjoying my older years with a family, I found myself all alone and pregnant, trying to survive out in the Everglades. I was sick and very malnourished/underweight; I honestly didn’t know how I was going to take care of my babies once they were born. I finally decided I had to trust these nice people who had started bringing me food… they brought me to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue who immediately gave me a clean place inside to sleep, proper medical care and healthy food. Three days later, I gave birth to my 4 beautiful babies- 3 boys and 1 girl!Now that my puppies are grown and adopted and I'm healthy and happy, I'm hoping to find my own forever family. I am a calm and gentle girl who loves going for walks and just sitting and relaxing with the volunteers. I am fine with most dogs that are relaxed and chill like I am; high-energy dogs not so much. I like to keep my space clean; I am housebroken as long as I am taken out at least a few times a day. I look like a Plott Hound/Dutch Shepherd mix and have beautiful brindle coloring.Snicker’s adoption fee is fully covered! Thanks to an anonymous donor, my adoption fee is currently FULLY SPONSORED!Hi I'm Elsa! I was found abandoned in a field with my 12 babies (yes, 12!). I took such good care of them that we all survived until we thankfully were found and made it to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue. I am a very sweet, friendly, happy girl with all of the humans at the rescue. It seems I'm a bit dog selective so a meet and greet with any current fur babies is important to make sure we get a proper introduction. I'm estimated at around 2 years old and last weighed in at 56 lbs. We can't be sure of my mix, but my rescue sees black and tan coonhound and possibly doberman in me. I seem to be housebroken, but it is hard to tell for sure in a kennel environment. My coat has darkened in the Florida sun, but I am very much a Catahoula, I have the high energy and big personality to match it. At only 5 years old, I have spent over a year and a half in the shelter system, no one seems to truly understand and get me.
