Story
Hi I'm Elsa! I was found abandoned in a field with my 12 babies (yes, 12!). I took such good care of them that we all survived until we thankfully were found and made it to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue. I am a very sweet, friendly, happy girl with all of the humans at the rescue. It seems I'm a bit dog selective so a meet and greet with any current fur babies is important to make sure we get a proper introduction. I'm estimated at around 2 years old and last weighed in at 56 lbs. We can't be sure of my mix, but my rescue sees black and tan coonhound and possibly doberman in me. I seem to be housebroken, but it is hard to tell for sure in a kennel environment. I walk very well on leash and know how to sit and take treats gently.My $100 adoption fee includes vetting, up to date vaccinations, deworming, microchip, heartworm test (negative) and spay, all already done. Hello, my name is Lone Star. I am a 62lb Catahoula mix breed looking for my perfect home. Need a water boy? A dip in the pool is my favorite activity, I love a good swim. My coat has darkened in the Florida sun, but I am very much a Catahoula, I have the high energy and big personality to match it. At only 5 years old, I have spent over a year and a half in the shelter system, no one seems to truly understand and get me. I need to be the star of your home, an only animal, I am not good with dogs or cats. I am a very friendly boy, with lots of love to give. I am housetrained, I have the best leash manners around. I have already gotten my masters in the trick "Sit". I am a very friendly boy, I enjoy my people and meeting new friends. Please come see me at GCHS!
