My adoption fee has been fully sponsored by an anonymous donor!Hi I'm Buck! I landed in a county shelter at 9 years old and in very poor physical condition. I was malnourished and missing most of my fur and had lost all hope that I would be a happy, loved dog in my golden years. I was pulled by Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue where I received all of the medical and general care I needed over several months to be healthy and happy again though! I'm a big friendly guy estimated around 70 lbs. I'm a very sweet dog with humans and other dogs at the rescue, but a meet and greet would be best with any family dogs in the home. I walk on a leash just fine and overall am a very good boy! My rescue sees Plott Hound and Catahoula in me (best guess).My $100 adoption fee includes vet check, up to date vaccines, neuter, deworming, microchip and heartworm test (negative). Thanks to an anonymous donor, my adoption fee is currently FULLY SPONSORED!Hi I'm Elsa! I was found abandoned in a field with my 12 babies (yes, 12!). I took such good care of them that we all survived until we thankfully were found and made it to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue. I am a very sweet, friendly, happy girl with all of the humans at the rescue. It seems I'm a bit dog selective so a meet and greet with any current fur babies is important to make sure we get a proper introduction. I'm estimated at around 2 years old and last weighed in at 56 lbs. We can't be sure of my mix, but my rescue sees black and tan coonhound and possibly doberman in me. I seem to be housebroken, but it is hard to tell for sure in a kennel environment. I walk very well on a leash and know how to sit and take treats gently.My $100 adoption fee has been fully sponsored, and I am up to date on my vetting, vaccinations, deworming, microchip, heartworm test (negative), and spay. Howdy, I’m Lone Star! I’m a 62-pound Catahoula mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart, searching for my perfect home. If you’re looking for a water-loving adventure buddy, I’m your guy—taking a dip in the pool is my absolute favorite pastime! My striking coat has darkened under the Florida sun, but make no mistake—I’m all Catahoula at heart! I’ve got the high energy, intelligence, and spirited personality to prove it. At just 5 years old, I’ve already spent over a year and a half in the shelter system, waiting for someone who truly understands me. I need to be the star of the show—the only pet in the home—since I’m not a fan of other dogs or cats. But trust me, I have more than enough love to make up for it! I’m a friendly, affectionate boy who loves my people and enjoys meeting new friends. Plus, I come with some great skills—I’m fully housetrained and have some of the best leash manners around. I’ve also mastered “Sit” and “Paw,” and I’d love to keep learning more with you.
