Story
Fred is a sweet boy who was founded a stray. His owners were not able to be located so WTFarm is helping another rescue to find a caring home for him. He loves people, but is terrified of a raised hand and scurries away. Fred deserves to know the love of a good home. He is neutered, vaccinated, is around 3 years old and is guessed to be a Plott Hound x Pit Mix. Story
adoption donation : $599 weight 40 lbs  Age: 9 months as of 12/20       Nacho is an absolute love bug and will make an awesome family dog. This sweet boy doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body, he is all tail wags, kisses and wiggles!    Nacho was found abandoned with his sister in a rural part of Mississippi and was taken into the rescue and quickly settled in, he loved to run and play with the other dogs and snuggle up with his sister in a puppy pile to nap. Recently Nacho arrived at his foster home in the northeast and has charmed everyone, he is friendly to everyone he meets, not a big barker, he  is housebroken, loves toys, and adores playing with his foster brothers and sisters.    Ideally, we would like a home for Nacho with another dog to play with, he absolutely adores every dog he’s ever met and would make a fabulous playmate for any size dog, right now his best buddy is a 14 pound Boston terrier. If he doesn’t have a companion, Nacho would really love an owner who was around a lot, who would take him on walks and hikes or just spending time together, Nacho just loves to be with his person.      Nacho is just a silly, funny, goofy and loving boy. He could use a little training, he does get excited and still jumps up a bit, but he is a smart boy and extremely food motivated, he would be easy to train.    Nacho is the ultimate family dog, he would  love to be in a home with children he can give sloppy kisses to.     Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. For more information on adopting Nacho please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com    December 24, 2024, 7:20 am

Story
Guinness is a one-year-old, 48 lb. plott hound/pittie mix with the most stunning brindle coat, precious smile, and dark brown eyes. He came to our rescue from Texas with his sister who was quickly adopted. The pair were saved from euthanasia with just hours left before taking the long journey to Connecticut. He has been with us since October 2023 and is anxiously waiting for a loving family of his very own! Being one of our LONGEST RESIDENTS, Guinness has been waiting a VERY long time to be adopted! We do not understand why as he checks all the GOOD BOY boxes: - Good with other dogs - Good with kids of all ages - House & crate trained - Knows a variety of commands (sit, stay, down, come, bedtime) - Friendly & social - Rides well in the car Guinness' tail never stops wagging and he just adores his playtime, being with his people, lounging by the fire, and swimming in the pool, and chasing his toys. He is a total lap dog who loves to snuggle and give hugs and kisses. He's super playful and loves to run around and explore. He's a complete mush and ready to be anyone's BFF! He's currently in foster with another pup, whom he loves so having a furry friend would make him very happy. He must go to a home with a fenced yard. His adoption fee is $400 and Guinness is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. He does suffer from allergies so he needs monthly injections to manage that. If you are interested in this cutie, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

*Name: Henry Lee (Trinity) *Age: approx 6.5 years old *Current Weight: 140 lbs  *Rescued from: Texas (currently located with foster in Texas, transport will be scheduled once adopted.) *Adoption fee: $375 (plus $150 spay/neuter deposit, see below for more information) *Health: up to date on vaccines, and microchipped *Adoption requirements: adopter must be 25 or older Meet Henry Lee!! Henry Lee is a sweet boy who loves, human affection and of course food. He is a smart boy and likes to please his people. He does well on a leash and enjoys going on walks. He would love someone who will let him spend time outside soaking up the sun. He will pounce around and play for a bit but is pretty mellow and happy to be a couch potato. He enjoys snuggling. He enjoys hanging out with friends but would do fine as an only dog. He has nice house manners and also does not jump. Henry gets along with all female dogs and low energy submissive male dogs. Crate trained by saying "get in your house Henry". This sweet boy would love nothing more than a furever home, could that be you?? IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $150 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled. To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING All adoption fees are non-refundable If paying by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal there is a set processing fee, generally this fee is under $15 per pet. These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. She loves butt/head scratches, belly rubs... well actually, just touch her, feed her and you will win her heart. She is fearful of storms but is just fine once she is snuggled up next to you. *Name: Rosie *Age: 7 years old *Current Weight: 112 lbs *Rescued from: Texas (currently located with foster in Texas, transport will be scheduled once adopted.) *Adoption fee: $375 Rosie was taken in by a very kind husband and wife, in a rural area of Texas, where there is no help for homeless animals. With there being no local animal shelter, The couple took in over 40 dogs to keep them from starving on the streets. When the husband passed away and his wife fell ill, SNARR NE was asked to help out with the placement of the dogs. Rosie is a 60lb drama free, sensitive girl. She is very sweet and a little timid at first. Rosie does not often need correction but if you do, expect for her feelings to be hurt for a few days. She truly needs someone she can just snuggle up with and get attention from. She does have flea allergies but is being treated and well on her way to a full beautiful coat. She is pretty low energy and is happy to lounge around right next to you. Rosie is crate trained. She has a calm gentle demeanor so a home with children 10 or older would be ideal. She gets along with all other dogs but a high energy or assertive dog are not the best fit as she gets intimidated by them. Limited/supervised exposure to cats but did well. Rosie would love a fully fenced in yard as she is still uncomfortable/uncertain about the leash. To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ ##1151763##

Hercules is a 65 lb ball of absolute mush. He thinks he belongs in your lap and is happy to accept ALL of the affection you are willing to give him. He is a spirited boy who thrives with attention and interactive play. He loves to play fetch. Hercules would do best with a secure fully fenced in yard to give him the space to roam around and sunbathe. He loves attention from all humans but is partial to lady K-9 companions. He does well on a leash. He is crate trained but gets bored if he is in there for long periods of time, luckily he does well free roaming and is not destructive so a crate isn't really necessary. If you enjoy spending time outdoors playing with your pal and snuggling inside then Hercules is the guy for you!! Story
If you are looking for a cuddle buddy, Atlas is the guy for you. His unique looks and amazingly sweet and inquisitive personality are products of his rich breed mixture. Atlas (also known as "Mr. Steal Your Heart and Pillow") enjoys long walks, short car rides, exploring, cooling off in creeks, lounging around the house, playing tug, unstuffing plush toys, wrestling and playing the bitey face game with his doggy sibling, cuddling in bed, and anything else that allows him to spend time with his family. At almost 3 years old, he has outgrown most undesirable puppy behaviors, but is still an active boy who requires adequate exercise. He does well with children and other dogs. He has done well with cats! He likes to lead walks and can be overly eager to meet new dog friends, so some training in those areas is recommended. He also gets overwhelmed in busy settings and sometimes experiences stranger danger so it is advised to avoid crowded settings unless addressed by a trainer. He is overnight crate trained, but he becomes anxious when left in the crate for extended periods of time during the day so his ideal home would have a pet parent who is home for the greater part of the day. Atlas is learning how to pull carts. He is a very smart dog and seeks to please his owners. Atlas is house/potty trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. If you would like to meet this handsome guy and make him part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/
