Beau is all puppy! He is loving, sweet and energetic. He gets excited with new environments, but once familiar with a new environment, he becomes more calm. He enjoys going to the dog park to play fetch and make new friends. Initially he struggled with a little bit of separation anxiety, but he has since been put on Prozac once a day and a huge improvement has been made. Beau is home alone for 9 hours straight, free roaming the house without any accidents and no destructive behaviors as long as shoes and other items are put out of reach. He is house trained and crate trained. He enjoys going for walks and has done well with meeting both big and small dogs. He is currently living with two cats who he is patient with--no chasing or tormenting. He will come with a crate, harness, leash, food, meds, shampoo and any other items to help. Hi, my name is Kona! I am a 4 year old Plott Hound/Pit Mix! I have been with my foster family for 8 months now and I'm ready for my furever home! My story has a sad start, I was passed around the homeless community before eventually being abandoned. I stayed in the shelter for 6 months until my foster family brought me home to get me back on track! I have never had an accident or chewed anything up. I was able to de-stress and learn how to be a dog again. Thanks to training from One Love Pitbull Foundation I was able to learn and practice manners. Ive had lots of improvement on my resource guarding but I do sometimes get a little defensive over my food. Im still learning and practicing though! I enjoy being an active pup but also just lounging around. I enjoy cuddles but also my own space. I would recommend that I'm an only dog, but I have shown extensive growth with my foster families dog. Due to the resource guarding I would recommend older children!

Isabella is a sensitive sweetheart who is looking for a family who will go at her pace! She came to the shelter as a stray and needs additional socialization and exposure to all the normal doggy things. Isabella spent some time in a foster home- as expected, she was nervous, but she did decompress during her time in that home and even chose to sleep near her foster person at night. Isabella was housebroken after the first few days and was working on crate training; she can be anxious when left alone, so continued crate training will be critical in her future home. We also learned that Isabella LOVES squeezy cheese! Isabella shares her kennel with another PACC pup and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. If you can help this shy sweetheart, please ask to meet her today!

Athena was the ancient Greek goddess associated with wisdom. Well, our Athena is from Arizona, not Athens, but she’s wise enough to know that she belongs in a home, not the shelter!! Here’s what one volunteer at the shelter said:“This girl is always smiling! Athena loves going to the yard with her kennelmate so they can swim and run around. She just wants to be with people and have fun!”Athena lived in one home her whole life before first arriving at the shelter. In that home she was reportedly housebroken and crate trained and enjoys hiking. Athena shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been playful and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup.
