A336246`Cissy`9 1/2 year old spayed femaleThis girl came to the shelter as her owner passed away & nobody else was able to take the cat. Cissy has been a very quiet & shy girl that does take some time to warm up. Cissy would be best in a home without small kids. Adoption hours are Monday-Friday 11:00-3:30 & Saturday 8:00-11:30.

Story
Shannon was heavily pregnant when some people in Jacksonville, NC started feeding her. She had her kittens in a shelter they set up for her under thier car port. We took her in and she has done a great job with her kittens. She can be shy at first, but she really enjoys being an indoor cat and we suspect she was once before she got out and got pregnant. She is very young and has done great with her litter of 5 kittens. Shannon loves chin scratches and pets. She doesn't mind other kitties if they are nice to her. All Feline Matchmakers cats get age appropriate vaccinations, fixed, tested and microchipped prior to adoption. SPECIAL NEEDS: Pixie really needs to be adopted by a vet or experienced vet tech. She has Manx Syndrome and allergies. She must maintain a prescription diet and get medications twice a day to keep her colon active. She may occassionaly require manual manipulation of her gut to move her fecal matter.  Sweet Pixie was found by animal control and taken to a vet, as she was too little to go to the shelter. The vet called Feline Matchmakers and we took her in. She nursed on a mama cat that had a litter about her age and grew up with her adopted family in foster care. She is now a social, spunky little bundle of joy! All Feline Matchmakers cats get age appropriate vaccinations, fixed, tested and microchipped prior to adoption.
