Adopted thanks to the Humane Society, Aurelia's story is that of companionship. She has ever been a looming shadow in my life for years, and it is with heavy heart that I bequeath her to any who would seek her loving embrace. She is a good friend. She gets along with dogs and humans alike, regardless of their age or breed, as long as they respect her space - and even then, she's never attacked me nor any person. For dogs, she has never done so unprovoked. She is quiet, solemn, reclusive and highly independent. She maintains well her well-being and has never been wanting for it, neither over-eating nor overdrinking. Aurelia will come to you when she wishes for affection, but welcome your caress all the same, oftentimes crawling onto your lap and making it her own. I call her a shadow for good reason. For though she scarcely cuddles me or others of her own accord, she's always close, watching, like an angel. Even as I reluctantly type this, she's right behind me, resting peacefully.

Freddy (dob 11/8/2017) is a handsome male cat who is looking for his forever home! Freddy is lovable but on his own terms. NOTE: A portion of the adoption fee for Suzie is generously being sponsored by an anonymous donor. She can be yours at a reduced fee of $200, pending the standard adoption approval process. Suzie is a sweet girl who needs someone to take a chance on her. She came from a not-so-great situation, so it has taken a while for her foster parents to build up trust with her. She now allows her foster parents to pet, give kisses and even hold her! She is not a lap cat yet, but she is getting there. She loves to sit in the window while hanging out with her foster mom and watching what is going on outside. Because of the situation she was in prior to being fostered, she needs to be the only cat in the household. Josie is a silly, feisty, small-sized bundle of fun. She LOVES playing with toys and running around after the other cats/kittens. She especially loves rolling around in the cat tunnel and playing with her little stuffed animals. She carries them around, tosses them around, and likes to bathe them in her water dish.  Josie is a shy girl but enjoys getting pet on her head and behind the ears. She can be picked up and handled but is not a fan of being held for long periods of time. She has suffered a right eye trauma as a kitten, and the issue is managed with eye drops. She has expressive eyes that will melt your heart. Josie needs a quiet/calm household as she is skittish of people and loud noises. She loves to play and would do well with other cats/kittens. She would love another cat to chase around, but a home with small children is not recommended as it might make her nervous. Josie was born around the end of February 2022 and is currently being fostered in New Haven. She is fixed, has had her rabies and first distemper shots, is microchipped and tested neg for FIV/FeLV* All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes.
