Story
A family friend rescued Bruno from a hoome where he had been mistreated as a puppy back in August of 2023. She was unable to keep Bruno where she was staying so we offered to watch him until she found an apartment of her own. Thankfully, our friend has settled into a new apartment but they do not allow pets over 20 pounds (Bruno is approximately 40 lbs). We have an 8 year old Yorkshire Terrier who does not share the same energy level as Bruno and they are getting on each others nerves. We love Bruno and want him to have a good home where he will be loved and taken care of. No adoption fee is required. If Bruno is a good fit for you and your loved ones, he will come with a 48x30x32 inch crate, food bowl/stand, food bin, leash, and treats. Thank you!

Story
I am looking for a loving home for my 2-year-old pit bull. She is a sweet and affectionate dog who is potty trained, loves to cuddle, and enjoys going for walks. She adores being around people, other pets, and even watching TV. She has been getting along great with other animals as well. Unfortunately, I am unable to keep her. I want to ensure she finds a home where she will be loved and cared for, I received my dog as a birthday gift two years ago, and she has been such a joyful and loving part of my life ever since. Over the past two years, she has brought me so much happiness with her cuddly, affectionate nature and playful energy. Unfortunately, due to changes in my apartment building’s management and their new pet policies, I am no longer able to keep her. This has been a heartbreaking decision for me, but I want to find her a wonderful new home where she will be loved and cared for just as much as she deserves.

These pups are in Whitewater, Wisconsin too!

Story
Meet Kenai! Hey friends! My name is Kenai, and I'm am as handsome as they come! I'm a pretty special adult dog who needs someone in my life who will show me guidance and all the good things to do. I'm housetrained, but I'm not a fan of crates, but I'm not destructive if I need to be left alone. I'd really rather not be home by myself very often. I really attach myself to my person and love going everywhere with them, riding shotgun, of course! I'm good with other dogs, but since I love food so much, it's best that I'm fed by myself, but I've been working at being a good boy, and practicing not having to be in a different part of the house to eat. My style of play might be a little rough for smaller dogs, or since I think cats are really fun to chase, and shouldn't live with them, it might just be a small animal thing that I'm not a fan of. I love humans, but I don't think I should live with the little ones, as I'm a pretty strong, large 65 pound dog, and I would never want to knock them over or hurt them. I enjoy going on walks, but if I see a squirrel, walking is out of the question. Then we run! I'm normally pretty good with having slack in my leash, but sometimes I pull, and that's where a strong handler comes in. Actually, it's probably best if I have someone with husky experience. I can't be on a tie out, so I'll need to go for walks for potty breaks or have a very secured fenced-in yard. If you know huskies, you know that I'm everything great all rolled into one! I'm a talker, and needy (that classifies as great, right?), and obedient and active! I could stand to lose a few, or more, pounds to get myself to a healthy weight and make my joints happier in the long run, so I need someone who is active. We could go on hikes together, and I could help you train for that 5k you've been wanting to do! I'd love it if my new person works from home or I could go to work with them. Remember, I love humans and not fond of being left alone! I'm a really good boy, and trying to find my forever people at this point in life seems very daunting! Do you think you have what it takes to make me a happy guy for all the rest of my days? *Kenai is being fostered in the Janesville area. Story
Meet Rue! Nickname: Plumber Girl (she likes to drink water from the tub, shower, toilet, anywhere) Breed: GSD Mix Rescue: Albert’s Dog Lounge Age: Young (just coming up on a year) Weight: 63 lbs Fun fact: Though Rue is deaf, she is a working breed girl who would love something to do with that big brain of hers! She would love to be your hiking guide, work with you at agility classes, do scent work with you, or even check out dock diving! Foster home: Janesville, WI Activity level: High (I am a working breed youngster!) Friendly with: Dogs, but would thrive with a similar size dog who can teach her how to be a dog. She has been around children in her previous home. She does understand the cat's cues to leave her be. Sleep style: She would love to be in bed with you, but we are having her sleep in a crate. Meals: 2 cups of dry puppy food 2X a day. Very food motivated. Enjoys frozen kongs filled with wet food Snore-o-meter: 1 (quiet gal) Bark-o-meter: 4 (barks when someone comes to the door) Shedding meter: hard to tell, as she is in a foster home with a husky and a husky mix. No clue who's hair is who's. Fashion: PJs and Chill! I love the Pittie pajamas that are out there! I can wear them too! Signature color: Lime green pops against her fur! Walk out song: Jackass theme song—willing to follow anyone into a crazy adventure. You jump, I jump! Favorite season: Summer!! Loves to explore the world with her people. Personality: gentle, affectionate, loving, quirky, curious, cuddly Best feature: Head tilt with floppy ears. Beautiful coat and easy to love personality. She just wants to love and be loved. Signature move: Nesting into blankets Loves: Mealtime, cheese, lazy Sundays, socializing, ear rubs, back scratches, SNIFFari in the yard & lounging with her people Bucket list: I love to smell everything, so let's take a flower arranging class together! I would also love to continue working on hand signs for training me! Spayed Microchipped Housebreaking is a work in progress Takes treats enthusiastically Excited on leash Some fear of car rides, but working on them! Working on crate training and improving every day! UTD on vaccinations UTD on preventatives It seems as if Rue didn’t have a lot of positive exposure experiences before. Getting in and out of the car is scary for her. At first, the crate seemed to be a new and intimidating experience, but this girl has mastered it! Having open space and a fenced in yard is a new experience for her. Cats are new, but fun to chase. She does eat her food fast, but we’ve been using a slow feeder and that seems to be helping. Frozen Kongs and a variety of toys are helpful. Will mostly only barks when in the crate. She does seem to have a little FOMO. Wants to be near people and in the middle of the action. Rue has rocked the whole housebreaking thing as long as she is on a consistent schedule. No issues with food but we do feed in the crate Rue would benefit from consistency in her routine and a similarly sized friend to learn from. When consistency is missing, she loses confidence and tends to pace. She is a very smart girl and picks things up quickly, but is still working on social cues, like not trying to play with dogs who don't want to play. This brilliant, sweet girl is a diamond in the rough who is already starting to shine! Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs.
