Story
About Stormie Stormie a 1-2 year old Kelpie mix was brought in to us as a stray along with her 3 puppies, she is now ready to start her new life! She is a very playful and active 45 lb dog. She loves to chase toys and balls around the play yard. We suspect she doesn’t see too well, but that doesn’t seem to slow her down! She is looking for a family who can continue her training and help build her confidence. She will need a home with no cats. Considerations No cats 6-foot fence

Story
Timothy | Male | 6 years | German Shepherd Timothy is a classic shepherd with a soft heart and steady soul. He bonds closely with “his people,” greeting them with happy tail wags and leaning in for ear scratches. At six, he’s mature and calm but still enjoys a good game of fetch and a sniffy walk. Timothy knows basic cues, is eager to please, and settles nicely in the home. He’ll do best with adopters who appreciate shepherd smarts and will keep his mind engaged with gentle training, enrichment, and routine. Timothy would love: Daily walks and quality time with his family A stable home that offers structure and positive reinforcement Mental enrichment (training games, puzzle feeders, nose work) A comfy bed close to where his people are Could be a fit for: most homes that understand the GSD breed. If you have resident pets or kids, we’ll help with slow, thoughtful introductions. Ready to give Timothy the loving home he deserves? 👉 Apply or inquire at washingtongsd.org

Story
Husky fans - check out Echo! And it's the perfect name for him, as in true Husky fashion, his song definitely echoes! Echo is about 5-years-old and looking for experienced adopters who can help set him up for success. He is full of spunk and will need plenty of daily exercise and play, as well as mental enrichment. He's super smart and can get overstimulated and frustrated if he's not tiring out his brain as well as his body. Echo is looking to be the only pet in his new home and is not a fit for an apartment or condo. He will greatly benefit from a securely fenced yard. Echo can be protective of his food and other valuable items, so he will likely do best with just adults, and those who have managed resource guarding before. If you're ready to welcome home this handsome Husky, make an adoption appointment to learn about Echo today!

Please contact Greyhound Pets, Inc. Juniper is a happy, friendly, adorable girl.  She is affectionate and playful!!  She loves to play ball!!  Juniper loves to hang out with you or play in the yard.  She is affectionate and loves to give kisses once she knows you.  Some people scare her, but once she knows you she is darling and playful.  She is so eager to please.  Juniper will need a home with a fenced yard.  Juniper found herself as a young pup in a shelter in California.  She was adopted and then found herself back at the shelter after she was hit by a car.  She then made her way to us as a 'greyhound mix'.  She is beyond darling and is so deserving of a true forever home.  She has a slight head tilt (adorable) and has some hip dysplasia which may need surgery (but that is not a given) as she ages, but now she is absolutely happy and playful.  We did a DNA test on Juniper and we were amazed to see that her mix is 45% German Shepherd, 42% American Staffordshire Terrier, 11% American Pit Bull Terrier and 2% Australian Cattle Dog.  We would never have guessed that she had any Terrier in her - she is a gentle, sweet soul and has a coat more like a Labrador or short coated Golden Retriever.  And while her 'greyhound' roots are not to be found, she is an adorable member of our GPI family and we can't wait to find this darling girl her forever home.  Juniper has made great progress in addressing the reactivity issues and she is expected to continue to make great strides with consistent training.  Juniper is a past Dog of the Month: https://www.greyhoundpetsinc.org/juniper-march-dog-of-the-month-copy/ Sponsored by Kristy Spray Sponsored by Kathleen Meyers, in memory of Roxy.
