Story
A logger had posted about a dog spooked and running through the woods during the snow storm on Feb 13th, 2025. I had to try and rescue her from freezing to death in the storm in the middle of no where. 50 minutes of driving and 2 hours of tracking the state forest, I found her hidden well, and shivering uncontrollably. Took less than ten seconds for her to approach and eat out of my hand and let me load her up. Had her scanned twice, and unfortunately no chip and easily 35lbs under weight. Grays Harbor does not have an intake for strays 😡 She has been decompressing with me and been slowly gaining weight and is in good health. Gets along with my two bully boys in a one bedroom apt. House-broken, potty trained, basic commands and listens extremely well. 1/2 leashed trained and following direction well. She is young and curious and is obedient and well mannered. Loves long walks and using her nose. Playful, loving and very cuddly. Very food driven for great training abilities.

Story
Estrella is an excellent guard dog. She just needs someone to walk her, work on her jumping give her mental exercise and lots of love and cuddles. She likes to chase cats, will need someone strong to walk her. She needs a person that will have patience to reinforce positive training methods. She loves treats and loves to play with her toys. She will resource guard so would not be good around very young children or other dogs. We rescued her from an abusive situation but we can't give her the type of environment she needs.

Story
Schooner wandered onto the rescue property early this year. He got along fine with the ranch dogs and made himself at home. He was shy at first until he knew he was safe. Schooner is a lover. Just sweet as he can be. And he loves to run! And run! And run! He is absolutely gorgeous all stretched out in a full run around the property. Unfortunately he lost that privilege when he started killing the resident chickens! So no chickens or small to medium farm animals. It is simply husky nature to hunt so he's just doing what is natural. He does so so on a leash. Rides great in a car. Gives hugs. He is eager to please and would love a home and family of his own who will teach him all the good stuff about being a family. Apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note all dogs are located in San Antonio, TX. We advertise out of state due to the critical pet overpopulation problem here in the south. We use Your Texas Rescue Connection to transport the dogs to your area. They are all up to date and come with a health certificate. The fee is $180 adoption and $200 transportation = $380. Thank you for considering adopting a southern dog.

Story
Hi! My name is Bambi and I’m looking for a loving forever home! My mom loves me so very much! I mean so much to her because I’m her past dog in disguise! But my mom wants me to be happy and I’m not happy in my current environment. She works long hours and she’s struggling financially. She can’t give me the loving care that she promised in the beginning. I know this will be hard for the both of us, but I know I will be taken care of in my new home! My favorite things to do include tugging on ropes, playing fetch, and chewing on yummy treats! I also secretly love to chase laser pointers and reflections of light! I would do best in a home with other pets since I haven't had friends in a long time, but please be friendly to me! My mom wants me to find a good home as soon as possible because I have a bad flea allergy that’s making me red and itchy all over! I'm losing some of my pretty fur! I’m in dire need of veterinary treatment and care. Won't you please adopt/love me forever?
