Story
Myla is ~4 yrs old. Pitador. Ive adopted her when she was ~5 weeks old. She was initially abandonded, brought to a police station and fostered before I adopted her. She is up to date on the mandatory shots, and i can provide her most recent records. She is a very vocal dog. She is also very loyal, but more so to the man of the family. She is good around kids, my child was only 1.5 years old when we adopted Myla. It's best if someone experienced adopts her. She does well at dog parks, but she isnt too fond of leashed dogs. Definitely does not like cats. Loves to chase squirrels. She does not follow any special diet, although weve been trying to feed her quality kibble. She eats twice a day, and she poops twice a day. She LOVES to run and play, unfortunately both my husband and I are working people and she is stuck inside of our apartment most of the day. She deserves a better life and a backyard.

Story
Est DOB: 1/8/22, GSD mix, male, currently 75 lbs +, neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccinations, heart-worm negative and microchipped Meet Haribo!  (Hari for short) This incredibly handsome boy was born into the rescue on Jan. 8, 2022.   He is a happy, goofy boy with a lot of personality.  Haribo and his sister Honor were both born with a congenital issue called Megaesophogus.  Basically his esophagus is too large to move food adequately from his mouth to his stomach so he just eats differently that others.     When it’s feeding time, Hari sits in a special chair called a Bailey chair.  Haribo is a clever boy who knows how to get into his chair for feeding times all on his own.   He does very well eating and sitting in the chair for 20 minutes afterwards.   He eats twice a day and has been eating Royal Canin.   Like his sister Honor,  his Megaesophogus is easily managed with an inexpensive drug called Sildenafil.  He gets 50 mg a day. (25 mg in the a.m. and p.m.)   Haribo is great on a leash, loves to play with his sister and likes to play fetch.  He loves getting attention and will nuzzle your hands to get a nice petting.  He likes walks around the lakes in his foster family’s neighborhood and is interested in the ducks and squirrels but doesn’t try to chase.  He is in a foster home with other dogs and school aged children that he does well with. Haribo is in a foster home with other dogs and school aged children that he does well with.  Please consider making this handsome boy a member of your family. As we are a foster based rescue, we do require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet.  This can be found on our website at :  https://almosthomepetrescue.org/apply-now-1   $200 (including tax) adoption fee includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heart worm test (in dogs over 6 months of age), microchip and registration, spay/neuter, wormer and flea and heart worm prevention while the dog is in our care. Story
Est DOB: 1/8/22, GSD mix, female, currently 75 lbs +, spayed, up-to-date on all her vaccinations, heart-worm negative and she is microchipped.   Meet Honor! Honor is a gorgeous girl who was born into the rescue on Jan. 8, 2022.  She has always been a happy, playful pup.  A few months after being born Honor was diagnosed with Megaesophogus, a condition that affects the way food moves from her mouth to her stomach.   Honor is just like any other dog except that she requires a special chair to sit in to eat.  She has her own Bailey chair that she is trained to get in and out of it on her own that would go with her to her new family.  She is a very smart girl and she does very well in her chair when she eats and stays for 20 minutes afterwards.    Honor eats twice a day and has been eating Royal Canin.   Honor’s Megaesophogus is easily managed with an inexpensive drug called Sildenafil.  She gets 50 mg. a day. (25 mg in the a.m. and p.m.)     Honor loves to play with her brother Haribo, who was also born with Megaesophogus.   She enjoys walks and taking little dips in her foster family’s pool.  Honor is affectionate, sweet and silly and likes to chase leaves and toss pine cones into the air.  She is smart and very attentive and would be an amazing addition to any family.   Honor is spayed, up-to-date on all her vaccinations, heart-worm negative and she is microchipped.   Please consider making this adorable girl a member of your family. Story
Meet Balto! Approx. 3 years old | 78 lbs | Cream German Shepherd | Neutered Male Balto is a big, handsome boy with a heart as full as his energy tank! This 78-pound cream-colored German Shepherd is about 3 years old and ready to find his forever home. Balto is an absolute water lover—whether it’s splashing in a pool or chasing down the spray from a garden hose, he’s happiest when he's soaked and smiling. He’s also a fetch fanatic and will gladly chase a ball as long as you’re willing to throw it. Balto knows his basics—sit, shake, and lay down—and is fully potty trained. While he's a smart boy, he’s still working on his leash manners (he tends to pull), so an adopter who can help reinforce calm walking will be ideal. Balto does great with other dogs but isn’t a match for a home with cats. He’s neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative— ready to go to his forever home! If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving adventure buddy, Balto might just be your perfect match
