Story
Little JR is a happy, energetic 8 month old puppy. He found his way on the EU list due to space, but was a shelter and volunteer favorite so I knew I had to step in and help. He’s currently living with me and loving life. He loves to play with my older dog, going on walks or to brunch, and is great on a leash and out in public. But his favorite thing in the world is playing catch. He’s never met a tennis ball he doesn’t love. We would love to keep him, but my youngest dog is reactive to all dogs other than his brother so we need to find him a great family. JR is a sweet, wiggly boy deserving of a second chance at life and furever home.

Story
Beau is a beautiful 64 lb, 3-year old German Shepherd mix. He loves walks, fetch, zoomies in the backyard, car rides, doggie daycare, humans, and other dogs. No cats!!! Beau is house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained, although he still pulls a little on the leash and will need help with that. Beau was rescued from being an outside dog 24/7, regardless of the weather. His previous owners also declined heartworm preventative for Beau and he has tested positive as a result. We are paying for Beau’s heartworm treatment and are committed to fostering him until his forever home is found. Please know that if Beau were not cat-aggressive, we would be his forever home. He is an incredibly good boy! Sadly his behavior with our cats is not okay, and our attempts to train him otherwise have failed. We know there is a great (cat-free) home out there for Beau. Perhaps it’s yours!! If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Beau is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm

Story
Baldur is a phenomenal pupper! Loves to give kisses. Loves good long walks and runs. Adores sleeping on soft and cushy beds or blankets. He's been my champion getting me through tough times since coming to me as a puppy during the height of the covid pandemic. I love him with all my heart which is what brings us to the point of knowing he may fit better with a new home. We have a newborn and it has taken our time away from caring for Baldur. We're not able to give him much time for playing or walks and are seeing it start to effect his mood. He has seemed bored and unhappy with us and is frustrated when he brings us a toy but we're too busy with the baby to play. We're so hopeful a loving new owner can give him all the love and affection he deserves! He enjoys the company of other dogs (once he gets use to them) both big and small. He even plays nice with the cat. He's never bitten any person or other animal but has shown his teeth when he's meeting new dogs for the first time.
