Story
This gorgeous shepherd girl is a quick study who thrives with gentle guidance and clear expectations. She’s shown interest in other dogs and may enjoy a calm, confident dog companion with a proper introduction—but she’d also be perfectly content soaking up the spotlight on her own. She’s been working hard on staying calm and connected when other dogs are around, and she’s making amazing progress. She’s sensitive, eager to please, and would do well in a home that can provide her with consistency and reassurance as she settles in. She could be a great fit for families with respectful kids and is ready to become someone’s loyal sidekick.

Story
Freya is a wonderful dog and very well loved. My husband and I adopted her when we got our first apartment. She was my therapy animal when I was struggling with a severe panic disorder. She was with us for the birth of our son and has always been a part of his life. She's helped me through some of the toughest times in my life, and it kills me to have to find a new home for her. Unfortunately, medical emergencies cost my husband his old job, and the new one doesn't pay as well. We were still managing to support her just fine, but now she's starting to develop hip dysplasia and is struggling more and more to get up and down the stairs to our apartment. We can't afford veterinary care anymore, and she's getting old. We also can't afford to live anywhere else right now, either. Freya is incredibly mellow and well-behaved. Her hips are starting to go, and she's always been prone to skin allergies, particularly to fleas.

Story
Duke is a very loyal loving German shepherd. He has natural protective instincts and will serve to be a great house dog for the right owner. He enjoys being cuddling and being petted. He is very well behaved and can relax but also is down to horseplay around the house. He has had a few aggressive tendencies to strangers but with the right environment and handler he is a joy to be around. Updated note: he will have to be euthanized in two weeks if unable to find a home.
