Story
This 3-month-old shepherd mix has the sweetest soul packed into a tiny 12-pound body (with lots of growing still to do, he’ll likely be a large boy someday!). As the runt of his litter, Lennie learned early how to be scrappy, but don’t let that fool you, his true passion in life is snuggling. This little guy is doing great with his puppy training. He’s already learning to potty outside (even in the snow!) and should be easy to house-train with consistency and patience. At night, Lennie sleeps in a playpen with an open crate inside, happily going in for treats and settling quickly to sleep through the night.Lennie is a fairly quiet puppy who settles easily into his routine and loves naps, though as a shepherd mix, he’ll likely grow into a medium-to-high energy dog who will benefit from regular exercise and enrichment.Lennie is shy but curious with my other dogs. He can be feisty and will set his boundaries, but he loves to give them kisses and follow them around the yard. He is also curious around cats and has not shown any aggression so far, though a proper introduction is always recommended. He does not have experience with children, so he will do best with dog-savvy kids.Lennie’s favorite things in the world are food, snuggles, and bunny-hopping after a soccer ball that’s nearly twice his size. He absolutely melts into your arms like a baby and gazes up at you like you’re his whole world. Sweet, resilient, and full of love, Lennie is ready to find a forever home where he can grow, learn, and snuggle to his heart’s content. If you are interested in Lennie, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550.
