Story
Acorn is an adorable 11-month-old Pomeranian Husky mix, affectionately known as a Pomsky. Acorn`s journey began in a backyard breeding situation where his original owner couldn`t sell him, but now he`s ready to leave his past behind and find the loving home he deserves. This little guy can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but with patience and a gentle approach, he quickly warms up and shows his sweet and curious personality. Acorn would thrive in a home with another confident dog to help show him the ropes and bring out his playful side. Because he`s still young and learning about the world, obedience classes would be a fantastic opportunity for Acorn to build his confidence, learn new skills, and bond with his new family. He’s eager to find a family who will give him the love and guidance he needs to blossom. Are you ready to help Acorn grow into the confident, happy pup he’s meant to be? adoption fee $350 + $30 microchip fee + tax

Story
CoCo is currently housed at Rochester Animal Control. Meet CoCo, a beautiful girl who has had a rough start to life. CoCo is only around 6 months old and has already been let down by the humans who were supposed to care for her. CoCo was found out by herself, abandoned by a dumpster, carelessly thrown out. How people can be so cruel, we will never know. Thankfully, she is safe and warm over at Rochester Animal Control. She`s understandably scared, and can take some time to feel comfortable around new people. Due to this, she would likely do best in a home with adults, or teens who can respect her space until she has the time to feel more secure with her new family. Once she becomes your friend, she loves being pet and playing with toys! She just needs time to settle in. If you are looking for your next best friend, consider CoCo. She deserves to know the love of a FOREVER family! *Adult home or kids 12 years of age or older recommendedApplications for adoption can be found on the homepage of the website. Once you have submitted your application a PCHS staff will contact you regarding an appointment to meet the animals you are interested in.*Adoption fee: $350+ $30 microchip fee + tax

Story
Sue is a German Shepherd mix, weighs around 45 lbs. She was found on a reservation, where she had been running on her own for over a year. When she was finally trapped, the rescues in the area were full and we agreed to take her in. Despite her past, she is a very sweet and dog-friendly dog, though she remains quite timid. Sue is looking for a quieter home where she can feel safe and continue to adjust to life in a family environment. Sue has shown no signs of aggression and is friendly with other dogs. However, she should not live with cats, as she will chase them, though she is not aggressive toward them. She is eligible for our foster-to-adopt program, allowing her future family to get to know her in a home setting before fully committing. Alternatively, Sue is also looking for a foster home if someone is not ready to commit to adoption but is willing to help her in the meantime. Sue will be spayed on 1/24 and is up to date on her rabies and distemper vaccinations. She is also microchipped and has been on a deworming program. Our adoption fee includes post-adoption support, discounted classes, boarding, and daycare.
