Meet Tulane! This charming Shepherd mix is the ultimate snuggle buddy, always ready to curl up in your arms and soak up the love. He’s incredibly tolerant, happily letting you carry him around, give him all the hugs, and shower him with affection—Tulane truly thrives on being close to his humans. If you ever need a bit more love in your day you can scoop him up and he'll snuggle in close and show you the kind of love that only a dog can.  While he may take a moment to warm up, once he does, you'll find an affectionate and loyal friend who’s always by your side. Tulane is house-trained and crate-trained, making him an easy fit for your family. Though he enjoys the company of other dogs, his herding instincts can sometimes make him a bit of a pest to other pups, so he would do best as an only dog or with other dogs that are able to be patient with him as he learns his boundaries.  Tulane has a condition called patellar luxation, affecting his kneecap, but with a few lifestyle adjustments, he’s still an active and joyful dog. The vet recommends avoiding long walks on pavement, but this doesn't keep him from living life to the fullest—he’s great at finding ways to entertain himself without putting stress on his knee. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxAbout Presley:  Housebroken Walks well on a leash Crate trained  Gets along great with other dogs Enjoys toys Food motivated for training Loves all people    She is great with other dogs and goes to doggie daycare several days a week. She quickly became a staff favorite.  When she hears the neighbors dogs, she runs around the yard looking to find a way to play with them too. Because of her social nature she will do best in a home with another dog or a family that will keep her social with other dogs regularly (dog park, play group, training, etc).  She adores all people, but especially kids, even the littlest ones (see videos).  She LOVES anything stuffed and squeaky!! She will entertain herself by tossing her favorite toys around for hours. Presley could use further work on basic training (sit, stay, recall) and is a very food motivated learner. Given some dedication to training she is sure to learn quickly!  Overall she is an amazing dog that will do excellent in a busy home that's looking to spend time outdoors whether it's playing, hiking, walks, going for a jog or visiting the dog park or a fun road trip - Presley is all-in for the family fun!!
