Story
Meet Sky, a 5-month-old husky mix who may be on the smaller side, but don’t let that fool you—she’s got energy for days! This little firecracker is always on the move, ready to play, explore, and keep you on your toes. Sky is still learning how to be polite in her play, as she can be a bit mouthy and overenthusiastic. Because of this, she’d do best in a home with teens and up who can help her channel her energy in the right direction. She’s incredibly smart and eager to learn, making her a great candidate for training classes (which she would really benefit from). When she finally slows down, Sky is as social and cuddly as they come. She hasn’t been around other dogs before, but she seems eager to play and could enjoy having a well-matched dog friend. She’s still working on house training, so she’ll need someone patient and consistent to help her get the hang of things. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, high-energy pup who’s ready to take on the world (and snuggle up after), Sky just might be your girl! Come on in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30-3:00! Story
Troy isn't your average dog, although we have not done DNA testing on him we are pretty sure he's 33% Husky, 33% Shepherd, and 33% Mountain Goat. He is an active, goofy boy who loves exploring and will climb or jump up onto tables, counters, or anything he thinks he might fit on to see if there is something cool to sniff.OTHER PETS: Troy is a friendly, laid back dog who prefers to hang out with other laid back dogs, he does not appreciate `in your face` play styles and will give appropriate feedback while interacting with other dogs. Troy should meet any dogs he would be living with prior to adoption to ensure a good fit. [Case-by-Case (Must Meet First)]OWNER EXPERIENCE: [First Dog] VETERINARY CARE: [Routine] KIDS: Troy is an active, jumpy dog who would do best living in a home without small humans.[10+ (Must Meet First)]ACTIVITY LEVEL: Troy is an active dog who has no problem jumping up on furniture to explore the world around him. Multiple daily walks and plenty of mental enrichment would be a great start; Troy would do well as a hiking companion or agility dog with positive reinforcment. [Good Walking Buddy / Olympic Athlete]LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement training will help Troy bond with his new owner as well as help him learn important skills. Further positive reinforcement training would continue to engage Troy's mind and would open up the doors to various dog sports / activities he could engage in with his humans like hiking or agility. [Minimal]GROOMING: Regular brushing will keep Troy's coat clean and matt-free. He may take after his husky side and `blow his coat` twice yearly, professional grooming can help with the increased temporary shedding. [Routine Brushing]January 28, 2025, 11:34 am

Story
OTHER PETS: Fuzzy is a high energy, rough & rowdy player with other dogs. He gives and receives feedback well, is goofy in his play, but will probably not do well with low energy dogs who don't match his play style. Fuzzy should meet any dog he would be living with prior to adoption. [Likely (Must Meet First)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: Fuzzy is a friendly, mischevious boy, and will need someone who appreciates his high energy, specific experience and appreciation for huskies or other working dogs would be valuable. [Experienced]KIDS: Fuzzy is a gentle boy who is uncomfortable with some some handling (specifially feet and ear touching) and plays roughly with other dogs. He is gentle with toys, and calms well during play, but might be a bit much for smaller humans. [10+ (Must Meet First)]ACTIVITY LEVEL: Keeping Fuzzy active and mentally engaged throughout his day is important - multiple daily walks or supervised outdoor playtime (remember to bundle up, he LOVES the snow) will be a great start, adding in other activities will keep Fuzzy engaged and exercising his mind as well as his body. [Good Walking Buddy / Olympic Athlete]VETERINARY CARE: [Routine] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement training and plenty of mental enrichment will help Fuzzy bond with his new owner as well as well as help him learn important skills. Positive reinforcment training itself is great mental exercise; Fuzzy could go on to learn to do all sorts of cool tricks or participate in fun activities (adventure companion, agility, etc) that will help ensure he uses up his energy in appropriate ways. [Minimal]GROOMING: Regular brushing will keep Fuzzy's coat clean and matt-free; Huskies shed a lot and blow their coats twice a year, many owners choose to use a groomer at these times to deal with the increased shedding.
