Story
Onyx is an almost four-year-old Pitbull terrier we've had since he was a puppy. This furry friend is loving, full of energy, and ready to bring joy and laughter to your life. He’s a strong dog that thinks he lives in a small body and is unaware of his size at times. He loves people and he’s good with dogs similar to his size. He’s crate trained and leash trained but he could use some retraining. He loves to play and run outside. He isn’t neutered yet, but he will be soon. He does have allergies and we are still in the process of ruling out whether it’s diet or seasonal. He has a paw condition called pododermatitis., so his paws are a little inflamed and we use wipes or foam daily to treat it (twice a day). It’s a chronic condition so it's something that needs to be managed throughout his life. Otherwise, he has all his shots and he's a healthy size. If you're seeking a loyal companion who's always up for an adventure, Onyx is the one for you.

Story
Charlie is a real good dog. We got her as a rescue about two years ago. She likes people, dogs, cats. She is very playful and likes to go on walks. She is also kennel trained and likes to eat there too. She sleeps in my room on a bed that we made her. When I walk her and she wants to play with all the other dogs and will get the zoomies

Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
We rescued Sidney from a horrific shelter in Memphis, TN. When we got him, he was skin and bones and had some barrier aggression issues (who knows what horrors he suffered there) It didn't take long for Sidney to realize he was now safe and could start letting down his guard. Sidney Poitier has filled out and is truly a stunning dog. Sidney is about 2 years old, and is at his healthy weight of 80 lbs. Sidney is a very intelligent fellow, he learns quicky and is anxious to please. He will do well with a job and/or a lot of stimulation, long walks and hikes. He will do well with an experienced dog person. Sidney loves meeting new people. He has done well with large dogs he has met, however he is would not be good with small dogs or cats. Sidney does show barrier reactivity, however, when the barrier is removed (whether it is a crate, fence or car window) he show absolutely no issues. Because Sidney likes a lot of activity, he will need a securely fenced yard (must be a physical fence, not an electric or invisible system)  He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and on monthly treatment for flea/ticks and heartworm prevention Sidney is currently located in the Middle TN area but transport is included in the adoption fee for approved adopter If you are interested in Sidney Poitier, email cox_ann@bellsouth.net for an application

Story
Helloooooooooo, new friend! My name is Zora, and that`s my way of giving you a big ol` husky-style greeting! I`ve got my eyeliner on, my tail is wagging, and I am ready to go on your next adventure with you!You know what`s exciting? EVERYTHING! Playing fetch is exciting, meeting new friends is exciting, going for walks and hikes is exciting, hanging out with you around the house is exciting ... I could go on and on! I`ll happily be your shadow in case anything interesting is going on, but I`m also great at entertaining myself. Give me some toys, and I am good to go! I like other dogs and other people and will happily share my toys, but I can be a little rambunctious sometimes. Playtime is so much fun that I`m not always ready to stop! A gentle reminder about personal space does the trick, but I wouldn`t mind learning from another patient pup who wants to teach me some doggie life hacks.I have my housebreaking skills down pat, and I would do best in a house where I can keep working on my obedience training and crate training skills. I definitely know all my basics (I`m a VERY smart girl!) but sometimes I get distracted if there`s a lot going on. With some continued lessons, I`m sure I can master any kind of command. As you can tell, I really like a lot of things -- people, dogs, toys, adventures -- but my absolute favorite thing to do is to hang out with you and make you happy. Come take me home, and I can show you myself! If you`d like to take me home, please fill out an adoption application at this website – http://www.animalalliesrescue.org/adoption-application – and choose me, Zora! My adoption fee is $350 and AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like me for our forever homes. By the time you meet us, we’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. We’ve been checked by a veterinarian, and we’re up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus). We’ve been tested for heartworm and other tick borne diseases (4DX), and we’ve started our heartworm and flea preventive medications. Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!

Story
Cora is in a healthy condition. Vaccines are up-to-date. Neutered, House-trained, and knows a few tricks like sit, lay down, and paw. Cora is estimated to be 4 years and 8 months old. We are looking for a new home for her where she can enjoy plenty of daily activities such as walks and play sessions. She does well in an apartment setting. Cora does well with other dogs. She enjoys playing with toys and gets along well during walks. We are unsure if she is good with cats. She is incredibly affectionate when she feels comfortable. She loves sharing the couch or bed with pets at home. She is very affectionate with humans.
