Story
Zeke’s world has been turned upside down. 💔. I will pay for transportation out of my own pocket to save him. I am poor but want to help him. Transport is available within reason. Please call me if you can love him/adopt him and care for him.
JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA (ANIMAL SHELTER)- STRESSED, SAD, UTTERLY HEARTBROKEN WHEN HIS LOVING FEMALE OWNER DIED. SHE HAND FED HIM. HE WAS HER CHILD. HE WAS SO HAPPY AND A GREAT BOY - VERY JOLLY AND CONTENT. WHEN IS MOMMA DIED, HE WAS DEPRESSED AND SAD. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, THE WIDOWER HUSBAND/OWNER DUMPED HIM AT THE SHELTER SHORTLY THEREAFTER FOR A NEW GIRLFRIEND WHO DOESNT LIKE HIM.
Zeke’s world has been turned upside down. 💔
For 5 years, he knew nothing but love with an older couple who raised him from a puppy. His mom even hand-fed him every day. But after she passed away, everything changed… his dad moved out, and Zeke was left behind—alone in the home for 5 long months.
IF INTERESTED IN THIS WONDERFUL DOG, CALL/TEXT ME, DAWN 610-787-2353 TO FIND OUT MORE. An adoption application with home check or photos are a must. To request an adoption application, email us your request at dawnleemcmahon@gmail.com.
Now he’s at the shelter, confused and overwhelmed. A trainer has told us what we already see—Zeke isn’t shutting down because he’s a bad dog… he’s struggling because his heart is broken. He’s having a hard time connecting here, but in a home with routine and consistency, he would thrive.
We’ve seen the good in him—Zeke has done well with calm, laid-back dogs, knows how to sit for treats, and we truly believe he’ll be a relaxed, loving companion once he feels safe again. He did well riding in a crate, even though the car made him a little nervous.
Zeke is fully vetted, and we are ready to support whoever steps up for him—we’ll provide 6 months of heartworm prevention, food, a crate, blankets, and any supplies needed. A trusted trainer is also willing to help every step of the way, and we can assist with transportation.
But none of that matters if he doesn’t get out soon. Zeke cannot stay in the shelter—he desperately needs a home.
He is a good boy who has been let down by people… please don’t let his story end here.
