Story
Looking for a gentle soul to share your space and heart? Eli might just be your perfect match. This sweet and mellow guy is all about the simple joys in life—lounging near his people, soaking up the sunshine, and enjoying a peaceful, predictable routine. Eli is about 6 years old and came to us quite overweight at 88 pounds! He is on a weight reduction diet. Goal weight is about 65 pounds. Eli had a checkup with his new veterinarian and except for being overweight, he's a healthy canine. He's bloodwork came back good! He's currently on a healthy diet and doing great with his weight loss journey! He’s already feeling better and will benefit from a home that can help him continue his path to a healthier lifestyle—with plenty of love and maybe a few low-calorie snacks. Eli gets along well with both dogs and cats, but he appreciates companions who respect his space. He’s not one for wild play, preferring calm friends who understand his easygoing nature. Eli also has pannus, a condition that has caused some vision loss, but he takes his daily eye drops like a champ—calm, cooperative, and never a fuss. He will need the eye drops the rest of his life. Because of his limited vision, Eli thrives best in quiet, stable environments, and he would do best in a home without young children. If you're looking for a loyal, low-key companion who will be your shadow and your soft place to land, Eli is ready to bring calm and comfort into your life. Eli's adoption fee is $250. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and will come with his eye drops. Story
Faithful companion material here! Classic German shepherd temperament. Beautiful Kami comes to us from a shelter where she ended up for a second time. The first time she was adopted was in 2018 as a young adult. Then her owner dumped her in early 2025. He was contacted via her microchip to come get her, he did not show up. Even though it appears she experienced extreme neglect the last 7 years of her life, she still remains a beautiful, loving German shepherd. A wonderful representative of the breed. Kami is about 8 years old and weighs approximately 65 pounds. Our veterinarian feels that the damage to Kami's ears was caused by untreated ear infections and fly strike. Poor Kami! Her ears are now healed and she's healthy. Kami has a broken toe that was never treated, but it does not seem to bother her. She also has pannus. This is a chronic inflammatory eye disease and she will require eye drops every day for the rest of her life. Please note: Kami is so good about getting her eye drops! It's more of an obedience exercise for her which her foster mom follows up with a treat. Good girl! For a dog her age, her teeth are in amazing shape. Kami is crate trained and housetrained and rides well in the car. She would very much like to ride along with you whenever possible, although she does need a boost up into her foster mom's vehicle. If Kami is not able to go with you, she's fine at home. She is good in the yard and would like to keep your yard squirrel free. She does not bark a lot. In fact, her foster mom has only heard her bark once. Kami knows how to "sit", "come" and "shake". Even though Kami enjoys time in the yard, she savors time indoors with her people and thinks the dog bed is the greatest invention ever! Kami gets along with other dogs. We aren't sure about cats. She loves people! All people. Kami is a HUGE tail wagger. What's that thumping noise? Well, it's Kami wagging her tail! She's a very happy girl with a wonderful attitude. Kami's adoption fee is $150. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and will come with her eye drops. Story
Yoshi is a playful, funny, loving dog. She is kennel trained, house trained, and she knows basic commands. She does well with our 2 yr old corgi and 7 month old blue heeler. She is very protective and does not do well with cats (has never bit or hurt them) or chickens. This is important to know as I am needing to rehome her due to her getting out to our neighbors yard and attacking their chickens. She prefers attention over snacks when doing training. She would do well with others dogs and someone who will enjoy going on walks with her.
