While heartbroken, owner cannot sustain keeping her dog Shir at this moment.... A little more about SHIR, a female pit bull dog... Blue nose pitty with some Brindle /Staffordshire mix. Shir has been in a top quality boarding place for 2 months and worked with the other dogs there... Shir is now is with an experienced dog owner friend who also owns a pitty. Here is what the current caregiver texted about Shir... "She is very affectionate, a ton of personality. Loves to watch TV and cuddle together. She is easy to love, and if you earn her trust she will return to you with so much love" Up to date on shots, etc. Ideal safe place for Shir.... is with mostly male dogs. Not so great with female dogs. Good with Kids. Caregiver will need to be assertive with her.

Story
OJ is a one-year-old, energetic and loving dog. He loves playing fetch, going on walks, splashing with the water hose, and even enjoys bath time. His friendly, happy nature will bring a smile to your face every day. OJ is crate trained and has mastered the sit command. He's still working on controlling his excitement, sometimes jumping up or crying when left alone, but he's making great progress. OJ can get bored when left alone, so keeping him in his crate when you're out helps prevent chewing. His favorite toy is a ball, and he loves puzzle toys to keep him entertained. OJ thrives on attention and would do best in a home where he can be an active, integral part of the family. Take him on your hikes, trips to the beach, and other adventures. He's had experience living in an apartment and is potty trained, using a crate to help him hold it until his outdoor breaks. He eats twice a day, enjoys daily walks, and loves spending time outdoors. OJ prefers sleeping inside but is adaptable.

Story
Meet Jameson! This 1 year old Border Collie/Husky mix is ready to find his forever home. Jameson is described as a very curious and sweet pup. While he can be a little shy at first, it’s not hard to win his heart over. Just give him lots of treats and endless head scratches! He gets comfortable very quickly and becomes a goofy pup who loves to sleep with his belly up and paws in the air. He already knows some basic commands like sit, down, off and up. Like most younger dogs, he’s still learning his manners with proper play techniques. He likes a rough play style, but his fosters are working hard to socialized him so he can play with dogs of all energy levels. Jameson sleeps in a kennel through the night. In his short time in his foster home, he’s almost completely mastered potty training. He has an occasional accident, but we think he’ll be fully trained soon. Jameson had no leash manners, but with some modifications and training, he is already improving quickly. He would benefit from a home that wants to continue his ongoing training to help him become the best version of himself. Jameson’s ideal home would have a house with a yard so he can run around and be silly. No yard? It’s not a deal breaker! He just needs daily walks and adventures in the outside world. Jameson would love to live in a home with another dog friend who he can learn from. He loves to mimic behaviors and learn by their guidance. He is a super special pup who is ready to find his forever family. Does it sound like it could be you? Apply to adopt him at wishbonela.org

Story
Oso is a happy, loving 3.5 year old German shepherd. He’s a social butterfly who wants to meet every dog he sees. He plays well with other dogs, but is happiest getting pet on his chest and giving licks to his humans. He is a very fast learner and within a day, he already picked up on 'sit' and 'down' commands, and even being crated. As much as he loves to relax, he does enjoy a good walk, a good toy to chew on, and playing tug of war.

Story
Like many pups, Eddy ended up on the streets no fault of his own. His owners just didn’t want a dog anymore and decided to turn this handsome boy out on the streets. Luckily, a kind neighbor advocated for him to find him a rescue. After getting neutered and updated on all of his basic medical care, he headed into a loving foster home where he is thriving. Eddy is a super sweet pup who absolutely LOVES other dogs of all sizes. He is friendly with children, loves going for walks, knows a few commands already, loves playing with toys, loves walking other dogs on a leash, naps a lot, is fully potty trained and weighs around 70 lbs. He would thrive in a forever home with another dog(s) or with someone who is home more often to give him the love and attention that he deserves.
