Story
Reuben is a young and energetic guy who is looking for a home that is able to provide him with a positive outlet for his energy! Reuben is still learning and is hoping for an owner who can continue training. He does appear to be mostly potty trained which is great! He also knows the cue “sit”. Reuben is super treat motivated and eager to learn! He has improved on his leash walking skills, but his excitement can take over at times and he will jump up. Reuben has been friendly towards other dogs and was fortunate enough to make a couple friends during his time in the shelter! He is incredibly playful and will be happiest with a friend that matches his energy. Reuben is just a happy and wiggly guy who could be described as the life of the party! He loves making friends and has yet to meet someone he doesn`t like. His bubbly personality is one of the things we love about him, and he is sure to put a smile on your face too. If you feel that Reuben would be a good fit for your home, we would love for you to come by and meet him. This fun dude is so deserving of a forever home!

Story
Loki lived with other dogs in his previous home and according to his previous owner they get along well. Loki has not been reactive towards other dogs in the shelter either, which is great! We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed and we do recommend it, especially if Loki will be living with other dogs in his new home! Loki has been very friendly towards staff and for a young Shepherd is actually pretty chill. He, of course, will be happiest with regular exercise and having a positive outlet for his energy! Loki has enjoyed going on walks and hard bones to chew on. To our knowledge, Loki has not lived with children and may be hesitant towards them because of this. Please keep this in mind when deciding if Loki will be a good fit for your home. Loki has been on his best behavior and despite having a rough upbringing, he has great manners! Loki does appear to be potty trained; he walks great on a leash and knows his basic cues. He is super treat motivated and is eager to learn more! Loki is a very good boy, and we have loved getting to know him better. Ideally, we would love for Loki to find an owner who is familiar with German Shepherds and their little quarks. If you feel that your home would be a good fit Loki, we encourage you to come by and meet him!

Story
Sweet Izzy.We have watched Izzy open up so much during her time in the shelter and it has been so incredible for us to see. Izzy was incredibly fearful, underweight and sad when she first came in. Now she is so so happy to see the staff; her tail is always softly wagging, and she adores when we say her name! We are also happy to say that she is putting on weight though she will need an owner who is able to continue her weight gain journey. Izzy is comfortable with staff but please keep in mind that she may be shy to you when first meeting. She will appreciate being talked to softly, yummy treats and gentle / slow pets. Izzy will need an owner who is able to provide additional training and socializing. She has come a long way already so we imagine her doing so great in a less stressful environment! Ideally, Izzy will be adopted by someone who is familiar with German Shepherds and is able to provide the support she needs to thrive. Izzy lived with other dogs in her previous home and as far as we know, everyone got along well. She has not been reactive towards other dogs in the shelter and may enjoy having a friendly dog to play with. We can provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting and do recommend it! We do not believe that she has lived with children and with her current socializing she may not be ready for the little ones yet. Izzy has gained confidence with walking on a leash and knows the cue “sit”. We really adore Izzy and just want to see her succeed. If you feel that your home would be a good fit for Izzy, we would love for you to meet her!
