Meet Hobbs! HOBBS HAS RECOVERED FROM HIS AMPUTATION AND IS READY FOR HIS FOREVER HOME!! While he may only have three legs, Hobbs endearing optimism and resilient personality make him the whole package! Weighing in around 35 pounds, this humble Pharaoh hound is as sweet as they come! He's nine months old and will be the perfect pal for one kind-hearted family! Hobbs arrived at GLDR with his brother Hutch and they are the best example of brotherly love. The two of them were rescued from a flooded culvert before coming to GLDR. Hutch has happily been adopted, so let's help Hobbs find his forever family too! Sadly, Hobbs had to have his front left leg amputated due to a gunshot wound that would not heal. He has been recovering with a fabulous foster family and is now ready for his chance at a happy life with a family that will treat him with the kindness and devotion he deserves. In spite of all he has gone through, Hobbs is a very capable guy! He's house-trained, crate-trained and take his treats gently. He's a very affectionate fellow and will make the ultimate snuggle buddy! Now that he has healed from his amputation, he will have the fun-loving, pain-free life he deserves! Hobbs loves to play outside, so a yard to enjoy and a family that will keep him exercised and engaged would be ideal for him. As he is still a young man, he will benefit from continued training as he grows. Hobbs loves all sorts of toys and likes spending his days lounging in the grass enjoying the sunshine. At the end of the day, he sleeps quietly though the night. Based on our evaluation, Hobbs would do best in an active home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. He loves his brother so he may have the capability of living with other dogs. We are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby!
