My family purchased Carmen from a local cat breeder 9 years ago. She’s a lovely, timid cat, but she’s developed behavioral issues after my children grew up and moved out and we are rarely home. She will need a patient and experienced cat owner, because her behavioral issues (though unconfirmed) stem from what we think is not enough one on one time. We’ve tried to give her 30-60 minutes of play time a few times a week but that does not seem to be enough for her, and we want her to be able to feel satisfied. Because of this she has developed a habit of defecating outside of the litter box on days we suspect we didn’t play with her enough.

**Adoption visits are by appointment only** If you see an animal you`re interested in, fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website https://everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet*Meet Lady! Lady is a gorgeous Persian with a lovely personality to match. She came to the shelter with a severe prolapsed hind end that was repaired by our vet team. She is recovering nicely but would prefer to spend her time in a loving furrever home! Any adopters should be Persian savvy or have done research about the breed specific care Persians require. Due to her age and medical history, she will need established vet care to ensure she stays nice and healthy. Lady will need slow and proper introductions to any resident pets in the home.
