Story
Meet Little Billie Biscuit, a charming 10-year-old Persian gentleman looking for a fresh start. When his owner became too ill to care for him, this sweet boy needed a new family. Though his world has been turned upside down, Billie remains a friendly, curious, and active cat with a big heart. Billie is in good health, up-to-date on vaccinations, and has recently had a fresh grooming due to matting. While his luxurious Persian coat is growing back, his sweet personality shines brighter than ever! Having likely been an only cat, Billie might do best as the king of his castle, but his gentle nature makes him a wonderful companion for someone who can shower him with love and attention. We're determined to find him a second chance at a forever home where he can feel safe and loved again. Are you ready to open your heart and home to Little Billie Biscuit and make his golden years truly special? If you’d like to meet him, the first step is to submit our online adoption application: https://www.fofct.org/adoption-application.

Story
Presenting, the flaming floof! The talky tangerine! The Persian pumpkin! The one and only… MUSE! This floppy sweetheart loves snuggles and hugs and kisses and will happily curl up on your lap, chest, stomach, shoulder, whatever you have sitting next to your computer, and inside any cabinet you leave open. It takes her some time to adjust to new surroundings, but as long as you respect her boundaries, she will warm up to you in time and before you know it you’ll be waking up to her sitting on your chest and purring. She will also sniff out any trace of rodent interlopers and be a fierce sentinel in protecting your home. Once she gets accustomed to new surroundings, Muse is extremely chatty and speaks in separate distinct “words.” Muse is not at all fond of other cats, and would need to be the only cat in your home. She also prefers to have two litter boxes, so that should be taken into consideration when determining if she’s a good fit for  your home. This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home.December 23, 2024, 1:34 pm

Story
Morty is a 7 year-old, unique cat with a bit of a complex background, and we're looking for the perfect home where he can truly thrive. Morty has lived in homes with both dogs and cats, but we believe he would do best as the only pet in a calm and stable environment. Morty has been on medications like Gabapentin and Prozac, but there have been times when he did well without them. He can be a bit particular about how he's petted and may scratch or bite if he’s uncomfortable. This behavior likely stems from being taken away from his litter too young, which means he didn’t fully learn appropriate play behavior or bite inhibition. For these reasons, Morty needs an experienced adopter who understands cat behavior and can read his cues. He’ll also benefit from proper toys and enrichment to help redirect any inappropriate play. We’re seeking a committed adopter with no other pets who can provide Morty with the understanding and environment he needs. If you think you might be the right match for this special cat, we’d love to hear from you! Story
Valentina is a very special girl. She came to Cameron Animal Hospital from a neglect and abuse situation, in pain, malnourished, frightened, and barely able to walk. With time, medical care, and love, she has improved in every way. Valentina is approximately 6-8 years old. She is FeLV/FIV negative, and has had complete bloodwork, which was excellent. Her coat currently looks unhealthy because of malnourishment, and because she was severely matted and had to be trimmed unevenly. As she is recovering and her nutrition is improving her coat is also becoming healthier. Valentina was unable to walk when she first arrived because she was so malnourished and weak, and because she has severe arthritis in one hip and joint pain in her back. These health issues will never fully resolve, but can be managed. Valentina is currently receiving several pain relief medications each day in her food (which she eats well in her food), a monthly pain relief injection, as well as 15 minutes of physical therapy each day. We are looking for an adopter with an extensive veterinary history who will maintain her regimen, which has helped her regain almost full use of her leg. Valentina is a sweet, affectionate girl and often seeks attention and petting. She does not like being picked up or held (likely because it hurts). She is curious and likes walking around and exploring new places; she hates locked doors, and will often meow at them until they are opened- just to go sit in the doorway and look out. Valentina is ok with other cats as long as they ignore her in turn; she does not like other animals who are exuberant and want to play with her. Similarly she seems to tolerate calm, older dogs who ignore her, but young and hyper dogs (and children) frighten her. Valentine will do best in a calm, quiet home with a family who has time to give her the attention she craves.
