Sadly, her owner`s moved and could not take her with them. She is a sweet, mellow lady who is looking for a soft place to land for her retirement years. Here`s the special adopter part: Olivia is a Persian cat, which is a breed that takes a bit of extra care in the grooming department. Olivia will need daily combing/brushing to keep her fur from knotting and will also need her face wiped with a warm cloth or a pet wipe. (The face shape lends itself to needing a bit of a tidy.) This spa time is a great way for you to spend time with this sweet girl, but it`s also a necessity to keep her happy and healthy. (Olivia says she is totally worth it, but knows she is not a kitty for everyone.) Persian cats are at a higher risk of several health issues including dental disease and eye issues. Please establish a relationship with a regular veterinarian to care for Olivia`s health, which is something every pet parent should do. Chloe is not appropriate for a home with young children or first-time cat owners. She will need an adopter who is experienced with Persian cats. The adopter must be able to read cats accurately and respect their boundaries. Although Chloe will start out shy, with some patience she will become a loving companion. Chloe's estimated birth date is February 2023. She is spayed, current on her vaccines, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and has been microchipped.

Perla is a one-eye diva who still gets around just fine. She just wants to be the center of your universe! She has some skin allergy issues, so she needs an owner who can devote the time and energy to maintain healthy grooming habits. To know her is to love her. Beautiful Val came to our rescue after being left on the street in Cairo by some awful people We are thrilled she is with us! Val is a stunning young girl with long golden fur and tabby markings. She is overly needy, just wanting to be loved and doted on. She craves being with her foster mom. Val is not overly thrilled about other cats but she will play hard with a couple fosters and then give them a big hiss. She picks and chooses who will be her buddy. Val really needs attention. Oliva is 11y old and was purchased from a breeder..she grew up around her brother so she will be good around other pets, she is shy but once she gets to know you she will warm up and is a very lovable cat.

“The Golden Years” should be about rest, stability, and endless love. At 14 years old, Clementine hasn’t been able to experience any of that. In September 2021, Clementine’s owner died, and she was taken to BARCS. As we can’t resist sweet seniors in need, she quickly became a part of the AARF family. Clementine was adopted a couple months later, but was returned to AARF in March of 2023. She hadn’t received any necessary veterinary care during that time, exacerbating her health issues. Since then, her foster mom has been stabilizing her back to good health - and Clementine is ready to finally find the FOREVER home in which she can live out her Golden Years. Clementine is undeniably gorgeous. She lures you in with her persistent wink (she only has one eye) and her stunning peach coat. While some might call Clementine “high-maintenance”, we thinks she just expects to be treated like the Queen she is: –Look but don’t touch (much): She will tolerate being picked up or held for a short time, but petting her below the halfway point on her back is a no-no. –One and only: Clementine will do best as an only cat. If other “peasants” are around, her litter box manners deteriorate. And that’s unbecoming a Queen like her. -Epicure extraordinaire: Only the highest quality canned stuff for this lady. -Primp and proper: Clementine’s luscious locks require regular grooming. If you follow her rules, this lady will bestow endless love upon you, in between her endless naps. Medically, Clementine has hyperthyroidism and requires a monthly shot for arthritis. Though this darling feline-of-a-certain-age requires a particular home for her particular needs, we wouldn’t call her anything less than “perfect”.
