Meet Matilda Rose, a gentle soul looking for a soft place to land  Matilda Rose is a 6-year-old Persian beauty whose world has recently been turned upside down. After the loss of her beloved mom and with her dad transitioning into a senior living home, she now needs a new family to give her the stability and love she deserves. Raised in a quiet, low-key household, Matilda Rose has a calm and tender nature. She isn’t a lap cat, but don’t mistake that for aloofness—she shows her affection in her own sweet ways. She’ll happily lean in for chin scratches (her absolute favorite!) and enjoys playful moments of hide-and-seek - something she especially loved doing with her dad. She has always been an indoor-only cat and has lived a very sheltered life, without exposure to children or other pets. Because of this, she would likely thrive best in a peaceful home similar to what she’s known—one that can give her time to adjust and feel safe. Matilda Rose is well cared for, with regular grooming (she sports an adorable lion cut every few months) and trimmed nails. Lili is a darling young black and white Persian female cat. She was rescued from the streets left to fend for herself. Suffered trauma to her back legs causing her to stumble on occasions. How can you not love her big fluffy face with those black and white markings. She looks like a female Sylvester. Lili is so sweet and lovable. Lili loves to be carried around and loved on. Such an affectionate young lady that likes to give hugs. Lili has had trauma to her back end which prevents her from jumping. We would like to see her in a home without stairs. Brooke is a gorgeous female Persian we are thrilled to have with us. Not many cats have that light silver coloring. She was found going through garbage in a dark alley looking for food. We think she is about 2 to 3 years old. Brooke hasn’t been with us very long so she is adapting to all of the change in her life. She loves to be petted and doted on. We are taking it slow with her so she can learn how to trust again. We would like to see Brooke in a home with experience caring for Persians or long haired cats. Baybars is a very handsome, young adult rescued off the mean streets. He was wandering about looking for his next meal. He has a beautiful long haired buff and white coat. He is a big healthy boy. Baybars has a wonderful personality. He is not shy a bit. Active and loves to play with his foster friends. He likes to be brushed and doted on. We think Baybars would be fine as a solo cat with a loving family or with another gentle cat. Not tested on dogs or kids but with a good acclimation he should be fine. Fostered in Fairfax, VA

Ramy is a long haired, orange, young male we are thrilled to have with us. He was left in the street to fend for himself. Ramy looks just like the Cowardly Lion in the Wizard of Oz. He has the yellow eyes with an expressive face. He is a calm cat. Doesn’t get all involved with other kitties playing rough. So affectionate and loving. We would like to see Ramy in a home without another cat. It needs to be noted that Ramy will need to have his fur brush and maintained due to his long hair. Fostered in Fairfax

Manny is a gorgeous long haired black male kitty. We think he is around 1 to 2 years old. Lived on the street but no more… Manny is full of energy. He doesn’t have a shy bone in his body. Loves people and all cats. Affectionate and loving. He can play with the best of them. We would like to see Manny go to a home with another cat so he can play and wrestle with. Not tested with dogs or kids but should be fine. Please give Manny a new loving home. Fostered in Fairfax

Savannah and Sierra are gorgeous long haired cats (Sierra has silky black fur and Savannah has the same silky fur but is a tabby) who were surrendered to a rural Virginia shelter when their owner unexpectedly passed away. We don’t have much history on them, but they have done a great job settling into their foster homes. They are loving, social, and friendly girls who we know get along with other cats and there is no reason to think they wouldn’t also get along with dogs and children. We estimate them to be young adults (between 1-3 years old). The adoption fee for this pair is $300, which helps with the cost of routine vet care.
