Story
Alva is BONDED with her brother Albert. Alva and Albert started their life on the streets and are the remaining cattens from a litter of four. They are both extremely shy and apprehensive about the world, but are making great strides with their foster mom. When she has the opportunity to pet them and sit with them, they are extremely loving. They will take some patience and a quiet place to decompress, but it will be worth your time and effort to give this loving pair a chance! Please fill out an application today!

Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend! Saturday's noon-5pm & Sunday's noon-4pm. TUXIE (black & white) and ROXIE (tabby) are a beautiful long-haired brother and sister duo who are looking for their forever loving home. Both kitties are very loving and gentle and like to lay in their foster Mom’s lap and give kisses and be stroked. They also like to sit next to you and be brushed and get ear and butt scratches. They still play with each other and their toys but spend most of their day lounging and hanging out watching what all is going on around them in the house and outside through the windows. They love to get up on their cat tree and watch the birds and squirrels and blowing leaves. They also enjoy just being close and hanging out with their human. Once comfortable in their new home, they are likely going to want to take cat naps or sleep with you. These two are very affectionate human-loving kitties who will make great little companions. Tuxie and Roxie’s owner died, and the family put them outside to fend for themselves. Before they were rescued, Tuxie lost an eye due to a fight with another cat. He is fine now and can see out of his other eye, but it was a very traumatic experience for him. This brother and sister have been through a lot together and are ready to find a loving forever home together. Tuxie and Roxie will do best in a mature home or one with older, cat-savvy children (12+). They would prefer to be in a home where they are the only kitties but could go to a home with another older, cat-friendly kitty, with proper introductions. They are very unsure of dogs – probably because they had bad experiences outside so that will need to be discussed on a case-by-case basis with their foster Mom/adoption counselor.   Tuxie and Roxie were born approximately January 11, 2019. Their combined adoption fee is $197.50. They have been neutered/spayed, are up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, are microchipped, and have tested negative for feline leukemia virus.   You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. For more information, or to confirm whether a particular cat or kitten will be present that weekend, please email kittycityks@aol.com.  Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit organization.  March 16, 2026, 10:19 pm

Story
Henry is a beautiful, very large, almost 6 year old male with a big personality who loves to cuddle. He will nap trap you for hours if you let him, though he also likes to play between his long naps. When we adopted Henry and a female cat a few months ago, they were described as a bonded pair. However, Henry is very dominant and they actually don't get along well. Things have deteriorated to the point where we now have to keep them separated. While they do better apart, we cannot keep them separated indefinitely. Henry needs a home with no other cats, where he can be king of the castle. It's possible he would be good with a larger dog that he can't boss around. In his previous home, they briefly had a dog and they said it wasn't a problem. If you love pets with personality and strong opinions, you may be a good fit! (Note: Henry's adoption fee will be donated to Great Plains SPCA. Just asking for it to help weed out those who may not have good intentions for my boy.)
